Manchester restaurant scene brings you a meal you’ll never forget. Situated on the 19th floor of No.1 Spinningfields, 20 Stories is composed of a glamorous restaurant, lively bar and expansive rooftop terrace with unparalleled 360-degree views of the Manchester city skyline. Positioned between the two dining areas is a striking bar, with a second taking pride of place on the large rooftop terrace.

The Restaurant at 20 Stories brings warmth and authenticity not only to its menus, but also through its interiors which take inspiration from nature and modern glamorous elements to create a truly unique experience.

For 20 Stories, Bar Manager Jack Marsden has created a cocktail list that pays homage to the vast array of cultures that make Manchester the diverse city it is today, whilst also being inspired by nature and sitting perfectly alongside our Head Chef’s seasonal British menus.

Facing the bar are five Eurocave fridges fitted to the wall, presenting 600 wines from a chosen Wine List by our Head Sommelier. The list aims to offer customers’ favourites and classics from all over the world, but also strives to raise customers’ curiosity with more quirky, unusual, “unheard of” wines, focusing on organic, biodynamic and natural winemaking. To consume on a sunny afternoon on the terrace or the perfect wine pairing with each one of your chosen dishes, the Sommelier team is available to add a little extra to your special experience at 20 Stories.

Went here for lunch as a mother and daughter treat. I was struck immediately by the wonderful atmosphere and decor of the place. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our waiter, Kumar, was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring we had the best time. We ordered olives and mains: sea cream and trout followed by a shared dessert. The food was perfect and the summer signature cocktails went so well with everything. We couldn't find fault in our time here at all.

Been here a few times, just for a coffee so far, and the views are great across Manchester, the staff couldn't be friendlier, and the coffee tastes delicious. There's lots of seating available inside and out. I believe the inside area is the dining area, and outside is the drinks are which doesn't need a reservation, and you can order something small to eat out there too. There's a lot of choices of alcohol as well, and we tried the pornstar martini once, which was super sweet and really tasty. Highly recommend, it's become our 'local' for a coffee.

We had an amazing lunch here and the staff, food and views made for a great experience. They also made sure to make a fuss as they heard it was my birthday and brought out a lovely little addition to my dessert. All round lovely venue and we would highly recommend.

Great view and very nice view. We decided on a light meal of caviar and scallops as one of our party had another dinner after. We ordered champagne, cocktails, caviar and one of the more pricey starters. After ordering, our server returned stating the restaurant usually require two main courses per table - she was so apologetic as she knew the comment didn’t make sense given the price of our existing order. For content, caviar is the same price as two of their most expensive steaks - so it didn’t make sense. Fortunately she had a word with the team and - of course - we did not have to order two main courses, but even the fact (I would assume the manager) told her to come up to us to ask us to order more food is a bit ridiculous. Our server was an absolute delight, as was the barman who went out of his way to make an irregular cocktail order and we had a great time.

their roast is served only between 12-4pm on sundays so i’d recommend booking as it was quite busy; we waited 45 mins for the table despite booking! out of the two, the chicken was the best as it was juicy yet had crispy skin. the beef, however, was overcooked despite asking for medium rare. the yorkshire looked incredible but was also overdone so it tasted burnt and dry. the lack of gravy did not help and even the extra we asked for was not enough. the cauliflower cheese was a nice addition though and served on a stone plate so no need to worry about it going cold. the desserts are worth saving room for as they looked and tasted great. the setting and the atmosphere was the highlight but the roast was not the best and quite pricey; id be interested to see how the a la carte menu fares though!
