We stayed at Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh for three nights and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable. Our room was well equipped, quiet, and cleaned daily. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many main attractions, which made exploring Edinburgh very easy. The only area that could be improved was the breakfast, as the selection and quality were quite limited. If this is improved, the stay would be perfect. Overall, we were satisfied and would consider staying here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights this week and both my family and I were very happy with our stay. The rooms were a good size and equipped with everything we needed for our stay, ironing board&iron, hair dryer, tea&coffee making facilities, a good size bathroom and comfortable beds. The rooms were clean and tidy and we had fresh towels and the room cleaned after our 2nd night. The only thing disappointing about the room was the pillows, the bed itself was comfortable but the pillows on the bed offered little support and weren't too comfortable, my head seemed to sink into them so they felt flat and unsupported. Location wise the hotel was fine for what we required, it was a 15min walk to grassmarket which wasn't too bad at all so it isn't too far out of town to walk. The breakfast was decent too, enough choice from cooked food, some continental and waffles which were a welcome change from pancakes in other hotels. Service was brilliant and couldn't ask for a better experience. Very helpful, friendly and chatty. The young Italian girl who was the manager on shift was helpful our first evening giving us directions to get an evening meal which was greatly appreciated after a long day travelling. We also had a meal in the Lebanese restaurant in the hotel which was really nice. Overall a great experience and would happily stay again when I visit Edinburgh again

Excellent all round hotel. Lovely Lebanese restaurant on site and great cocktails. Breakfast very good and staff genuinely nice, not put on. A little bit of walking to get into the centre so bear that in mind if you've mobility issues.

I stayed four nights with my family, and overall, it was goofl experience. One of the greatest advantages was the bus stop located right beside the hotel, offering effortless and convenient access to the city centre. I'd like to share a few observations that may help further enhance the guest experience. These are certainly not complaints, but rather small points that, if refined, could make an already pleasant stay even better. To begin with, the breakfast was truly excellent. The variety and quality were impressive, and the waffles in particular were outstanding. There are only a few minor aspects that could be improved. The croissants could have been served warmer, although I still enjoyed them very much. In the section where cold cuts were available, there were also bowls of yogurt and fruit nearby. These were very appealing, and the strawberry yogurt in particular tasted remarkably fresh. However, the strawberries themselves were not fresh. This may well have been due to the season, but for that reason, I preferred not to eat them. Aside from this small detail, breakfast was a thoroughly pleasant experience. Secondly, I would like to mention the reception service. I would like to sincerely thank the daytime staff. From the moment we checked in, everything felt smooth and comfortable, and they were welcoming and friendly. After 3:00 PM, however, the atmosphere at reception felt somewhat different. Perhaps due to workload or busy hours, the evening staff appeared rather rushed, less attentive, and slightly distant. Although we mentioned that we were tourists and that English is not our native language, they spoke very quickly, seemingly in a hurry to conclude the interaction, which made it difficult for us to follow. Even with a good command of English, this approach felt a little uncomfortable. I do not see this as a serious issue, but rather as an area where a small adjustment could greatly improve the overall guest experience. On the other hand, I would very much like to express my appreciation for the kitchen staff. They were exceptionally kind, patient, friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. For me, they were truly one of the highlights of the hotel. Their warmth and positive attitude genuinely helped me overlook the minor details mentioned above. Finally, for groups of three guests sharing one room, having the option of a single bed instead of a sofa bed, or offering alternative bedding arrangements, would be a very welcome improvement. Overall, this is by no means a negative review. Our stay was genuinely enjoyable, and these small suggestions are simply intended to contribute to an even higher level of guest satisfaction. I would especially like to thank the kitchen staff and the entire team. These observations would certainly not prevent me from choosing this hotel again on my next visit to Edinburgh. On the contrary, I hope to return and leave an even more positive review next time.
