Ten Hill Place Hotel is one of Edinburgh’s 4* city centre hotels just 0.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station. Opened in 2006, this 4-star modern hotel is situated in a quiet Georgian Square, still very much within the reach of all the city’s main attractions- 5 minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile and Edinburgh’s main shopping area of Prince’s Street.

Ten Hill Place Hotel is owned by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and provides cutting-edge hospitality. Profits from the hotel are invested back into the College to support surgical training across the world.

Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, allowing you to stay connected. Newly refurbished, the Hotel has a fresh new look and now has 129 bedrooms. Each well-equipped and spacious room has a sleek bathroom and a flat-screen TV. Beds have a choice of soft or firm mattresses and allergy-free duvets and pillows. Hairdryer, iron and hospitality tray are standard in all rooms.

Drinks & Dining is a restful area where you can enjoy a selection of wines from Corney & Barrow, local spirits and beers and cocktails made to order. Head Chef, Alan Dickson, recently won Regional Chef of the year and his food will surprise and delight you. A private dining area is available to book. The Snug can accommodate 14 guests for dining and 20 guests for a drinks reception.

Ten Hill Place Hotel provides the best of both worlds in terms of location. Ideally situated between both old and new towns, you will find all main attractions. A vibrant and contemporary space, offering an extensive list of wines supplied by Corney & Barrow, one of the longest established Wine Merchants in the UK. We had a perfect Christmas break at Ten Hill Hotel. All the staff were friendly and polite; however, Kevin truly stood out for his warm, genuine hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure our happiness, and it was clear that his care and attention came from a genuine place. Rejes and Mark gave a fun, uplifting energy that truly brightened our stay. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the old town and around 20 minutes from the train station. It’s a good location overall; while the main street outside had some edge to it. We never felt unsafe, and there was no noise disturbance inside the hotel rooms. We were part of the Christmas package with food included. There were good meal options and the quality was nice, though it could be refined slightly for an even better experience. Breakfast offered many choices, and the buffet was always well replenished. The bar staff made excellent drinks and cocktails. Overall, we would happily recommend this hotel to friends, family, or anyone visiting Edinburgh. We were very happy with our Christmas package and would book it again.

My family and I stayed here on our recent trip to Edinburgh and it was great!! We did a split trip and the first two nights we were on a higher up floor, the room was okay, small. When we returned we were put on the first floor and it was like a completely different hotel the room was so nice. This was a perfectly located hotel in Edinburgh, you could walk everywhere to all the sights and destinations. The dinner was fantastic. The breakfast was a little lackluster but overall did not change my opinion of the place. I would highly recommend for your trip to Edinburgh. Very friendly and pleasant staff.

First time at 10 hill place. It was a superb couple of days really close to everything. The reception team were fantastic, could t be more helpful. We had a room up from the standard room and it was great value and of a high standard. Nice lounge and bar area. Big thanks to Alex in the restaurant who helped us at breakfast, having 2 your babies and 6 adults dining together. Lynne was also so helpful and always checking all was ok. The breakfast is of a high standard, great local produce and presentation. Would highly recommend this hotel in Edinburgh.

We stayed at this hotel and honestly can't fault it. The location is excellent as it is close to the centre but not too close so there is no night time noise. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was immaculate and clean. The breakfast was beautiful especially the haggis. We had a meal in the hotel one night and that was lovely too. The staff were exceptional and couldn't be more helpful. If we come back to Edinburgh we would definitely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommend.

We had the perfect stay. On arrival our room was ready early and we had been upgraded. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and helpful. The Hotel is clean and comfortable. They have everything you need for your stay. Tea/ coffee tray, decent hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Location is perfect for all tourist attractions. Perfect hotel and we had a perfect stay. We can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so nice.
