We were delighted with our recent stay at this centrally located hotel in Edinburgh. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome — Zelal provided a warm and efficient check-in that immediately set a positive tone for the rest of our visit. Our dog-friendly room was clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money. We especially appreciated the lovely view over the garden terrace, which was a real treat even in January. Every member of staff we encountered was courteous, professional, and eager to help, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and are happy to recommend this hotel to others.

An entirely very pleasant stay. Staff are so welcoming, our room was superb, huge and with a comfortable bed, great shower and the room was well heated. Breakfast was top class with lots of options. Will we return...absolutely.

Everyone at the front desk was kind and, quite frankly, amazing! They came through with the best recommendations for food in the area and were otherwise lovely to speak with. A special shout out to Kitty who was friendly and indulged me in wanting to have a friendly conversation from time to time. I hope to come stay here again soon!

My room was clean and comfortable although at times it did feel a bit cold. I visited suring the winter so an additional heater was provided for the room which did make a difference. The staff were friendly and welcoming when I arrived and I was checked in quickly. I was on the 3rd floor and did find the water pressure to be a bit low and it did take a while for the hot water to reach the room, although it was perfectly good enough to have a shower as long as I let the shower run a little while to warm up first. I'd happily stay here again.

My partner, who is already very seriously ill and will not recover, had her contact lenses "cleaned" from our room leaving her unable to see very much at all. Had I not been travelling with her she would not have had to travel home alone. This would have meant an additional nights stay in Edinburgh, rebooting flights etc while she awaited a delivery of emergency contact lenses. We do understand that accidents can happen but this did have serious consequences which could have been even worse if she was alone. The staff member on reception did her best but there was little that could be done in reality. The reduction of the restaurant bill was a reasonable gesture. This is just a reminder that personal belongings should either not be touched in hotel bathrooms or, at the very least, should be treated with more care. There was also an unusual situation whereby the TV remote had been moved while we were out and I found it under the leg of the bedside table. Just odd! Finally, the cleaners had also removed the second room key leaving us with only one. Not a big deal but worth noting. Public areas are very nice but the rooms are a bit tired. And I'm pleased the werewolf that must have previously been kept in the bathroom (judging by the bottom of the door) had disappeared by the time we arrived.
