4 nights at the Yotel Edinburgh Hotel

We had an excellent stay in Yotel. The rooms are not big but they are comfy and warm. They were cleaning the room every day, but the cleaning service was missing some details like mold building in the shower and some stains on the carpet floor, both easily to remove but i guess they didn t care. The room was very quiet. Polite personel and quick and easy check in through a tablet. The location was fantastic, very close to the old town of Edinburgh and 5 mins from Dean Village. I would definitely recommend Yotel for your stay while u visit Edinburgh.

A good hotel, a bit of a walk from the station, but that's fine, since walking around the city is worthwhile. I arrived almost at midnight, the receptionist was attentive and gave all the necessary instructions, including that it was safe to drink tap water. The room was spotlessly clean, the view was splendid. It was worth it, my wife and I recommend it. Greetings from Brazil

Really good hotel for the price. Location is good in a quiet enough area but easily walkable to most of the tourist sites. Staff were friendly, check in is easy. Also has a small gym you can use. The downsides to the hotel are as other people mentioned it’s only a curtain that separates the bathroom/bedroom and this was quite dirty, the towels being over the toilet also isn’t very hygienic. The lights in the room were quite annoying if we moved they’d just turn on. The ‘convenient shop’ is far from convenient with the crazy prices they were charging for stuff. Overall I’d still stay here again just a few small changes would be great to see.

Good value for the price and location. Check-in machines are smooth, staff are friendly, rooms are spacious, and the lighting is great. The bar is reasonably priced, and the shared coffee machine is useful since there’s no kettle in the room. Downsides: motion sensors turning lights and AC off, glass bathroom setup, and housekeeping ignoring the “do not disturb” sign. Fine, but not flawless.

The first thing to note after self check in (which in itself was fine) was that the hallway to the rear lift was dirty. From the lift on the 3rd floor to my room, even though the carpet seemed like it had been replaced recently, was also dirty - like it had not been hoovered in days. My room (358) was a family room on the third floor, with a standard sized double bed and a bunk bed. There was cleanliness issues in the room. The carpet was not hoovered. Mould in the shower. Elements of wear throughout the room. The old saying "rough around the edges" describes this room well. Once we retracted the bed into the couch position (electric operated), we found some sticky gummy sweets from a previous occupant The room was very very noisy, even with it being at the end of the corridor, a mix of noice came from fellow neighbours, cleaning staff in the morning and as it seemed like the room was above a loading bay, noise from goods coming in below/outside the room. We have stayed here on two previous occasions and it was fine. This time between the broken sleep and disregard of cleanliness, I would not recommend you stay here.
