5 nights at the Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket

Definitely an all round hotel with openable winows and gym. I chose package with breakfast included and the quality was above average. Don't have their own carpark but they offer discounts to park at a public carpark 2 mins away which is still convenient. There are tonnes of restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely hotel, very nice comfortable room, with more than what you need! Breakfast selection was great and very very nice, staff were fantastic, incredibly friendly and helpful, highly recommended, parking a few minutes away that you can fit a transit van in. About 15 min walk to the royal mile.

Quite modern and nice hotel with short distance from the center and old town. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. Rooms feel smaller than in the pictures but are cozy. We had ours at ground floor towards the inner court but no noise heard. Would prefer higher floor though. Aircon not really working but temp was luckily OK. Showers/toilet work well and enough hot water for a long shower. Clean and tidy.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for an amazing stay at The Mercure Edinburgh Haymar Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding. It made my time in London so much more enjoyable, and I truly appreciate the attention to detail. I look forward to staying with you again in the future!

I booked a so-called ‘Privilege Room’ for 3 nights at the end of the Edinburgh Festival and was extremely disappointed. Despite paying a huge amount per night I arrived to discover that breakfast wasn’t included and other than a few drinks in a mini bar no idea what the ‘Privilege’ element really was. The room was tiny as was the bed. On my penultimate day I returned at 3pm to discover the room had not been made up. I asked if it could be but had to wait in the lobby for over 90 minutes for someone to tidy the room after being told that that day’s check-outs took priority. Mold on the rear of the room curtain and constant noise from the rooftop fan and bathroom extractor added to an unpleasant experience. The staff seemed to have no interest in making the stay better for us. It absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a lovely weekend away with my partner. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times as a solo business guest but will not be doing so again. The cost was punitive for such an awful experience.
