As a very frequent hotel stayer, I'll admit I'm often hard to impress, but my recent break at Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity in Edinburgh didn't just meet expectations—it completely exceeded them. This was an absolutely amazing stay, and we will certainly be back. The staff here were genuinely amazing. They were friendly, professional, and went the extra mile to make the stay comfortable. We had a very small issue with a window mechanism, and the maintenance team handled it swiftly, efficiently, and without any disruption to our plans. I even appreciated the small touch of being offered a loan of a brolly for the duration of our stay—a definite plus in Edinburgh! The convenient luggage storage on arrival and departure also made logistics seamless. The apartment itself was brilliant. The views of Edinburgh Castle were truly stunning, providing a memorable backdrop to the entire trip. Inside, the modern touches stood out, particularly the snazzy electric blinds, which were a subtle but very welcome luxury feature. For any discerning traveler looking for top-tier service, fantastic accommodation, and a location with unforgettable views, I cannot recommend Wilde Aparthotels enough. Thank you for a lovely, flawless break!

The front desk and checking in staff were amazing when we arrived at 10am on 9/12/25. The staff did their best to try to get us an early room and the room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities. It was a quiet space and you’re able to go to all locations from the room. There is a gym and the Castle is viewable from the room we got. (not so much a complaint but the online chat bot is not helpful so maybe that would need some improvements).

Stayed here for about two weeks, I absolutely loved it. It was clean, quiet, and the staff were amazing! The room is spacious and it has a fully equipped kitchen. The hotel was also located at a nice spot where you could walk to a lot of attractions. You have to go uphill or take a lot of stairs though but that’s just Edinburgh. 🤭

The perfect location in Grassmarket but tucked just down the street. It was easy to go explore and pop back to the room whenever we needed. The Castle is the first thing you see in the morning! The coziest rooms with adorable decor! When you walk in the lobby its adorable, smells amazing, and you're greeted by kind staff. They explain the amenties and walk you to the elevator. Every area from the elevators to the hallways have great vibes. Our room was adorable and had everything we needed! We loved the decor, under bed storage, bathroom lighting and kitchenette. Every detail of the room was well thought out. We have 2 twin beds that were cozy and you could put down a light blocking curtain to sleep. The toiletries they provide smell so good! You can even open the window for fresh air. I read reviews and stressed over where to stay for weeks and am SO glad I choose to stay here. I will 100% stay here when I am back in Edinburgh and in other cities they are located in.

Great hotel in a fantastic location, fairly centre to all of the main attractions within Edinburgh with a great view of the castle and Incredibly friendly staff at a reasonable price. The reception was well decorated for Christmas, clean, modern and cosy and never seemed too busy. It seemed a little cheap that the coffee machine was not free. Rooms were very nice, and fairly clean. However, we had some dirty plates/cutlery in our dishwasher that absolutely STANK when opened, as well as dirty spoons (with food still on them) with the clean cutlery which was quite disgusting. The blind did not work using the electronic buttons and had to be done manually, this was a minor issue. They did do a great job at blocking all of the light in the morning though! Otherwise, all other amenities within the room were great and very welcomed! The additional £20 early check in fee did seem like an unnecessary upcharge but I understand why they do it. Overall would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.
