Plan your visit to one of London’s finest food markets. Located right in the heart of London, Borough Market is one of the best known produce and street food markets around. If your’e looking for somewhere to shop in London you’ll find the market open six days a week, where  the food market’s atmospheric halls and passageways are a pleasure to explore.

At Borough Market, we don’t just sell good food and drink, we celebrate it. We enjoy how it tastes and the way it makes us feel, but we also appreciate its ability to connect us to the people who produced it and the places it was made.

If all you come with is an appetite, you’ll be able to sate it in a thousand ways. But if you care about what you eat and where it comes from, our traders can feed your curiosity too. Here, in this historic setting, you’ll find an incredible range of food from all over Britain and the rest of the world – and every item has a story to tell.

Our story began 1,000 years ago, when a market took shape at the foot of London Bridge. Since 1756, we’ve been in our current location, run by a charitable trust on behalf of the community. Today, our mission is to show that food can be made and sold in ways that are better for people, for the planet and for the sheer pleasure of eating.

Borough Market’s rich heritage is part and parcel of its appeal, but our focus is very much on the here and now. The Market, which is run by a charitable trust for the benefit of our community, has never stopped evolving. A few decades ago, it was a wholesale market serving the greengrocers of south London; now it acts as a beacon for sustainable food production, short supply chains and social connection, drawing visitors from far and wide.

It was absolutely wonderful! Since there are so few gluten-free options in Japan, going out is always a bit of a struggle for me. But at Borough Market, I was amazed to find so many incredible gluten-free choices. And every single one of them was absolutely delicious🤤 I can’t wait to go back someday!

A visit to this heritage market, with rich historical background, historic setting, was some experience. With an incredible range and variety of food produces and associated products, this market has a unique character.... the traders/ shopkeepers are not just selling their products, they seem to celebrate it. Loved walking through the lanes, halls, talking to the sellers. The market has three distinct areas. The Three Crown Square has larger shops. The Green market has fresh produces and smaller traders selling their specialist produces. And the third one is Burrough market kitchen, offering variety of street food in an informal setting. Overall , a great experience. Would love to come again whenever we visit London.

Such a charming market! Not very big, but it’s buzzing with energy. You can explore specialty coffee spots, bakeries, and plenty of local treats. A great place to experience the city’s authentic vibe.

A visit to the Borough Market located close to the London Bridge for any tourist is a must. It is a lively, vibrant market place offering a variety of cuisines, fruits, fresh items, chocolates and so on. The shopkeepers try to entice you with samples of their delicacies. It is quite crowded but a great place for any foodie.

There are some famous, viral places to eat there, like the sausage rolls, the Bomba paella, the fish and chips, and the chocolate-covered strawberries but the line were huge and I honestly think they're not worth the wait. However, I've found a very tasty wild mushroom risotto with little to no line.
