Excellent self guided tour with audio guide included in ticket price. We were blessed with perfect weather. The great hall may be closed for event or for students during lunch or dinner (yes, this dining hall is not a museum and still being used on a daily basis). Best to get a ticket for early morning at 10:00a to avoid the crowd. Note: there is no bathroom facilities once you start the tour. Use the facilities behind the ticket counter building before you start the tour.

This college is famous for the Harry Potter films. I felt like I was inside the movie — it was amazing. It’s also known for being where Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, once taught. Inside the dining hall, there are stained glass windows featuring characters from Alice. The buildings are stunning and full of history — it’s hard to believe this is a school! The cathedral was also absolutely magnificent. I bought an Oxford University hoodie as a souvenir. It’s definitely worth a visit!

This place is probably known more for the Harry Potter connection, but the rest of the place it amazing as well. The main hall was the inspiration for the great hall in Harry Potter, but I really like the Alice in Wonderland cindy Connection. Make sure you go while your visiting

In addition to the most famous canteen as the setting for Harry Potter, the entire Christ Church College is full of beautiful buildings and historical sites. You can spend an entire afternoon here listening to the tour guide. Also, please note that not all areas are open all year round. If not, you can only check the actual opening conditions on the guide machine. I hope everyone can visit here when all areas are open.

This morning, I had the incredible opportunity to enjoy a private tour of Christ Church College, thanks to Alex Ellis, a geography student at the college. I highly recommend seeking him out for a tour. Alex guided us through the college, showing us the famous steps featured in the first Harry Potter movie before leading us into the magnificent dining hall. It was phenomenal to witness where students dine—500 years of history in one room, with ketchup and mayonnaise dispensers providing a rather amusing contrast! We also explored the cathedral, where we had the privilege of hearing the organ being played—likely a rehearsal for the morning service at 11:05. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I cannot recommend Alex enough for a tour of Christ Church College. G.B.
