⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an amazing experience at Daiu! It’s an all-you-can-eat place with a unique twist — you grill your own meat right at the table, plus they offer a great hotpot setup as well. The quality of the ingredients is excellent — super fresh and flavourful.

DAIU DAIU where do I begin, I first stumbled accross this beautiful Restaurant few months ago as it has two of my favorite types of food styles Hot Pot and Grill now iv never had both at the same time and this was an experiment in its self being the foodie I am I went all out basically trying everything they had to offer from every cut of meat land or sea to the wide variety of Noodles, Udon and Veg they had to offer. This included the Sushi they had and some of the more basic dishes like Sturfry, deep fry Prawn and spring rolls ending my experience with Fruit salad, Smooth Ice cream that just hit the spot. I would highly recommend DAIU special if you are interested in new experiences and style of self service

We had a great time cooking our own BBQ-style food and making our own dipping sauces and hot pots. Two hours are just enough to sample a variety of dishes. There’s plenty to choose from, including seafood, meats, vegetables, sushi, ice cream, and fruit.

My wife and I love coming to DAIU. The buffet hot pot and grill experience is really fun, and the quality of the meats on offer here is really good. When they have the ribeye and sirloin out, its really good. Fish selections are also delicious, and the soup broth options are all really nice. Service is always fast and attentive and friendly. It is expensive (£35 per head) and my main criticism of DAIU is that for £35 per person, there should be refillable drinks. The fact that you pay £35 and then have to pay an aditional £3.50+ for a tiny glass bottle of coke zero is ridiculous. Just have a cheap drinks counter for people to refill, its not going to put you out of business, in fact it will probably attract more people. Also, the dessert section on our first visit was amazing, all sorts of jakes, jellies, fruits, ice creams, lollies, etc. However every subsequent visit has the dessert section reduced to just cheap tubs of ice creams and rocket lollys. Disapointing especially considering the high price. This is the sort of place we would visit every month without fail if they had refillable soft drinks and good dessert selection. However, since its such a high price without drinks we tend to come a few times a year instead. Overall, staff are great, meat and veg options varied and top quality, lovely selection of broths and good service. Disapointing drinks and dessert service for the high price.

We tried this new Cook Your Own Food place in Cardiff Bay. They have good food varieties, but nothing particularly exciting apart from the fact that you cook your own food, Hot Pot and Teppanyaki style. Just be prepared to leave smelling like whatever you’ve cooked after you dine in. In my opinion, it was nice to experience it because it was something new, but I wouldn’t go back again. The prices were too expensive for what you actually get for a small eater just like us, and on top of that, you still have to cook your own food.
