Excellent hotel in a great location. Easy walk to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and Princes Street. We arrived at the hotel very early, and they took care of our luggage and us, and got us a lovely cup of tea. Just the ticket after a long haul flight. The staff were so friendly, courteous, and efficient. The room was lovely, with excellent amenities, including an iron and ironing board. Also a nice kettle, Scottish breakfast tea, and lovely Scottish biscuits. As an excellent bonus, the restaurant is simply outstanding. Delicious food, excellent wine, and impeccable service. All at quite reasonable prices, considering what you get. Finally, a really classy bar with, of course, an amazing selection of single malt whisky, and some nice fairly private seating areas. Highly recommended.

insanely pretty hotel with a great location. breakfast options were enough and service personnel communicated well. rooms were quite big and air conditioned, bathroom had period products available (!!!) and a towel warmer. tv was big and worked well, and the bed itself was comfy to sleep in. reception gave good tips about where to eat and brought a taxi to the airport in just a few minutes. would go there again, nothing to complain!

Great experience and compared to surrounding hotels, better pricing. The best part of the stay was the front desk/check-in staff. The ladies were amazingly helpful and provided exceptional service… best service of our entire trip. Can’t wait to come back!

This historic hotel is located within walking distance to many unique shopping and dining experiences. We enjoyed spending our last evening in Scotland, relaxing in our suite, which was tastefully decorated, spacious, and furnished with a very comfortable bed and sofa. The breakfast (included with your booking) was impressive. You may order an entrée off the menu and also select items from a beautiful buffet. Grade A on both. The hotel does not provide parking. Our mistake for not checking first. It was a hassle to unload/load at check-in/check-out. They provided a discount for a nearby parking lot. In hindsight, we should have returned the car before check-in and then hired taxis while in Edinburgh. Regardless, our stay was wonderful.

We had a wonderful 2 day stay while exploring Edinburgh! We came here straight from the airport and an overnight flight, tired and hoping to drop our bags off since we were well before the check in time. Abs at the front desk was very kind, offered us early check in and even brought us coffee while we waited for the room to be ready! The room was beautiful and spacious. We will definitely stay here again when we pass through.
