Set in the stunning 19th Century architecture of the Manchester Liberal Reform Club’s original dining room where politicians, bankers, lawyers and professions of all kinds gathered. The great and the good of Manchester society convened for discourse and pleasure.

Inspiration for the menu at Grand Pacific is found in these faraway places and all is served with a delightful blend of Britishness and the unmistakeable style of the Orient. A mesmeric voyage to distant shores where deep rhythmic baselines writhe through the air and sweet botanicals tantalise the senses. An exotic oasis splashed with eastern excitement and seasoned with echoes of far flung places.

What a wonderful place to enjoy good food. We really enjoyed the experience from start to finish. We were well looked after by our waiter and never felt rushed – there was just the right amount of time between courses. The décor had a sense of tasteful opulence, really lovely and adding to the overall experience. The food was excellent: tasty, well prepared, and beautifully presented. I had the fish and chips, and the batter was outstanding. We went at 12:00 lunchtime, which seemed a great time to visit. It was fairly quiet at first and then got busier as the afternoon went on, which suited us perfectly. I’d happily recommend Grand Pacific to anyone looking for a relaxed dining experience with great service, delicious food, and beautiful surroundings. Going around midday is especially nice if you prefer a calmer atmosphere. Thanks to the team for a great experience.

Gorgeous interior and great atmosphere. We had the Sunday roast which was tasty and the service was great. Only thing I can think of is the trimmings could have a slightly larger portion size but we are big eaters! 😂 would definitely recommend.

We visited for lunch recently. The waitress was very friendly and nice, which we really appreciated. The place wasn’t very busy, so it was a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the mac and cheese but unfortunately it wasn’t very nice — I wouldn’t recommend it. What I would recommend, though, is the scallops, which were excellent. Previously we were able to order a scone on its own, but since the place changed ownership that option isn’t available anymore, which was disappointing. We came because there was a half-price discount, but it’s worth noting that items over £35 aren’t included in the discount, and the afternoon tea offer isn’t discounted either — which is important to know before you order.

Enjoyed a very nice afternoon tea here! The food was delicious and service was friendly. We booked this as a treat for my mum who was visiting from overseas and it was a lovely treat. However for the price we didn’t expect to be charged for an extra cup of tea.

Went here on a 50% off food offer. Food was excellent as was the service. Both my wife and I had 3 courses and couldn’t fault any of them. I was glad we had ordered a portion of fries to share as the accompaniments were perhaps a bit lacking. Should also have ordered some other veg to improve the veg to meat ratio. Would I go back, probably not, as what would have been over £75 per person including 2 large glasses of wine and coffee seemed pricey. I also didn’t like the fact that the discretionary tip was 12.5%, but I let it go as I don’t like to a fuss, but we’re not in America and 10% is more than sufficient. It is in a beautiful building and it has been well furnished.
