The Grade II listed Arcade was built by the Great Western Company in 1876-77 to span a tunnel for the railway line between Moor St and Snow Hill stations. Elegant and over-flowing with Victorian charm, they are home to award-winning retailers and pride themselves on giving visitors the best experiences and retailers.

Often described as the ‘home of hidden gems’, they’ve created a climate for smaller retailers to thrive in this fast-paced competitive marketplace, as well as giving shoppers a place to escape the monotony of the high street.

Great Western Arcade’s roof was originally a glazed semi-circular barrel vault with a glazed central dome, similar to that of the Gallerio Vittoria Emmanuele in Milan which was constructed at the same time.

Slightly hidden and underrated. Really nice to walk through and they have a great sweet shop with cool designed chocolates etc

This is a very nice trading arcade to look at And to find a bite to eat, get your haircut, find a bar or many other shopping opportunities. It’s a good spot to get out of the rain for while and is very conveniently positioned in Birmingham city centre. There’s parking close by and it’s also close to bus routes
