Selfridges’ window displays have always been a visual treat, and their Christmas displays are especially impressive. This year, they’ve partnered with Disney—more precisely, Disney is sponsoring all the holiday window displays, as well as some interior décor, including the iconic Christmas Shop. As my daughter and I walked past Selfridges, we couldn’t help but stop and take photos of every window. She asked, “What’s the connection between Disney and Selfridges that makes this partnership make sense?” A good question. For starters, Selfridges would be investing in elaborate Christmas displays regardless. And Disney, with its beloved characters and family-friendly films, is already a major part of the holiday entertainment landscape. But there’s more: earned media. Without this partnership, most people wouldn’t visit a Disney store or theme park just to take photos and share them online. But now, thanks to Selfridges’ prime location and footfall, Disney is receiving a flood of organic social media exposure—mine included. From a marketing perspective, this is a brilliant collaboration. Selfridges benefits from eye-catching displays and likely savings on decoration costs. Disney gains massive brand visibility and indirect promotion for its content and platforms like Disney+. A smart, win-win partnership that makes the season a little more magical for everyone.

The Disney Peter Pan and Maleficent themed installations are especially enchanting, creative, nostalgic, and a joy to experience for all ages. Beyond the décor, the store itself is a dream. An incredible selection of luxury fashion, beauty brands, and indulgent fragrances fills every floor, making it the perfect place to browse, discover, and treat yourself. The atmosphere feels festive yet elegant, turning a simple visit into a memorable experience. Perfect for the winter holidays, Selfridges is a celebration of style, creativity, and luxury all under one roof.

This is a place which I think is more about the experience of shopping than the actual nuts and bolts process of buying stuff. Everything within the store is done on a grand scale, with pristine and perfectly dressed interiors showing products off to their best advantage. As a Disney fan I was here for the pop up Disney store within, though ironically it was actually the view from outside that had my jaw on the floor. The Disney themed windows were some of the best and most imaginative examples of the window dressers craft that I have ever seen. Where else I wonder would you see a window draw an audience? The Peter Pan window was as much a performance as it was a display.

My favorite shopping place in central London. Lots of famous brands presented here. Lovely location next to Bond street underground station. Stuff so friendly and polite here. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants are on the last floor abs supermarket downstairs. Christmas shopping here are another type of pleasure. Selfridges decorated every year on the different ways. This year it's Disney cartoons heroes. I adore it. Recommendation for everyone to visit!
