Went for a corporate daytime event, overnight stay and evening event. All went well. Daytime event food and drinks were well catered with lots of hot drinks and baked snacks. Also had breakfast rolls available for those arriving early. Lunch and breaks were good. Facilities all great, good spaces. Dinner event was very well catered. Food was lovely and all came out at the same time which never usually happens. Bedroom was large, bed was comfortable, bathroom/showers worked perfectly and views from the room were fantastic. Had an issue with a parking fine but this was resolved by the manager Bailon Fernandes, a credit to the hotel.

To start, the area the hotel is located, looks like one massive turd hole. Rubbish everywhere, dystopian looking scenery, crap graffiti on walls and not a welsh person in sight. The car park was helpful, at least we knew the car would be safe from all the waifs and strays outside. We get to the hotel at 10, obviously knowing we wouldnt be able to check in, but to let the staff know we were about. That was a pointless effort, we came back to the hotel at 4 to check in, but the rooms weren't ready. It says the check in starts from 3. We finally checked in at about 4:30, to different rooms. Asked if we could have rooms on the same floor at least (bare in mind, we did book these rooms back in august. So they had enough time to sort this enquiry). 2 rooms were on the 6th floor and 1 was on the 7th, well done... Not. The rooms were the best part of the experience. Bath, shower, kettle and selection of teas and hot chocolate. Comfy bed and warm rooms. So it wasnt all bad, but wouldnt visit again. The staff didnt seem on the ball and really bad ability to sort any problem, even tho they had 3 months to sort out request. Just another hotel chain treating guests as numbers and money, than actual people...

Booked for my wife's 40th for a overnight stay. On arrival the room was on the 14th floor and nice and quiet. The toilet flush was gushing out water constantly, but we thought it had only been flushed so didn't think anything. 20 mins later I went to use the toilet and it was still going. I went to push the flush and the button was jammed. The seat was also nearly coming off it was so loose. We went to ring through to reception but the phone was not working. My wife went all the way down to reception and they sent a maintenance man up within 10 mins. And he fixed the flush but said he couldnt fix the phone or seat at that time. I then made myself a coffee from the nespresso machine. Returning to the room and hour later and the coffee machine had leaked all over the table and onto my new books I went down to reception yet again and all she said was we will send a maintenance man up. Which they didn't do for the duration and offered no Compensation for the books, and no good will for the room being totally unacceptable for a superior room upgrade thst I paid for. Will not be going back

I’ve never left a negative review but it’s about time I did. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! I am a spa member but the facilities have been out of use for the past 2 months with no updates of when it will be resolved. The spa has not offered any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. I’ve emailed the spa manager but yet to receive a reply and it’s been 2 weeks. When speaking to visitors staying at the hotel, they do not inform you at the time of booking that the spa facilities are out of use, but instead email you the night before your stay when it’s too late to cancel. To make things worse they changed the opening hours of the gym from 10pm to now 7pm without informing all the members. They clearly to not respect nor value their customers at all. So if your planning on staying don’t, go somewhere else because you will not be respected. Charging premium prices for appalling service. Shame on you for exploiting your own customers
