I attended a spa day here and had the best experience. Holly did my facial and was amazing. I felt very comfortable the whole time and she made me feel at ease. The facial was amazing, and even had a lovely scalp massage too. Definitely recommend. Thank you Holly for the most relaxing treatment. My skin feels incredible :)

Stayed in the panoramic room, 1206 Nice room. The room was nice and clean and no damage. Sockets in all the right places. Table and chairs for eating. Desk for working. Big TV. Fridge. Ironing board and iron. Hangers. All the usual stuff you expect from a room. Good sized bath and shower. Comfy bed and pillows. Decent gym however a handful of people can make it seem busy. Didn't use the pool but looked like a nice area with sauna and steam room. Staff were all very helpful and Friendly. Underground parking for the hotel but we found it cheaper on the street next to the hotel.

Such a shame that there are now additional charges for things that many guests might expect to be included, such as £10 per person to use the spa and extra fees for parking. We stayed last year and had a really lovely experience, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately the added costs made the stay feel less welcoming this time. It’s disappointing, as the hotel itself is nice, but these extra charges make it feel more about upselling than good customer service. Sadly, because of this, we probably wouldn’t choose to stay again.

To start, the area the hotel is located, looks like one massive turd hole. Rubbish everywhere, dystopian looking scenery, crap graffiti on walls and not a welsh person in sight. The car park was helpful, at least we knew the car would be safe from all the waifs and strays outside. We get to the hotel at 10, obviously knowing we wouldnt be able to check in, but to let the staff know we were about. That was a pointless effort, we came back to the hotel at 4 to check in, but the rooms weren't ready. It says the check in starts from 3. We finally checked in at about 4:30, to different rooms. Asked if we could have rooms on the same floor at least (bare in mind, we did book these rooms back in august. So they had enough time to sort this enquiry). 2 rooms were on the 6th floor and 1 was on the 7th, well done... Not. The rooms were the best part of the experience. Bath, shower, kettle and selection of teas and hot chocolate. Comfy bed and warm rooms. So it wasnt all bad, but wouldnt visit again. The staff didnt seem on the ball and really bad ability to sort any problem, even tho they had 3 months to sort out request. Just another hotel chain treating guests as numbers and money, than actual people...

I was very disappointed with my stay due to the behaviour of a receptionist named Bernadette, which made what should have been a relaxing visit extremely uncomfortable. I have a disability and support dogs. Despite this being a dog-friendly hotel, I was repeatedly questioned about my service dog, which felt intrusive and inappropriate. Guests with disabilities should not be made to feel interrogated or challenged in this way. Additionally, I was asked over 20 times to pay immediately for a late check-out, well before the actual check-out time. This was excessive, stressful, and completely unnecessary. Customers stay at hotels to relax and enjoy their time — not to be repeatedly pressured for payment by reception staff. The way this was handled felt unprofessional and like harassment. Staff should be trained in how to speak to guests respectfully and appropriately, especially those with disabilities. The approach taken made me feel unwelcome and uneasy throughout my stay. On a practical note: The reception desk is very easy to miss, as it blends into the décor and looks like a small, makeshift table. The kettle in the room was dirty. The cupboards were worn and could clearly benefit from repainting. Overall, this experience fell far below expectations. With better staff training and attention to guest care, this hotel could improve significantly- but as it stands, I would not return.
