The premise for Nata & Co has always been to share the Portuguese love for food, we firmly believe in the quality of the food we produce and have passion for it. Our strong belief is that Portuguese delicacies are deeply underrated and we are here to change that notion! So pop into our cafe and take a break at one of the city’s favourite places to eat in Cardiff.
Our passionate bakers create delicious Natas and more, complemented by aromatic coffee for a truly delightful experience.
Founded by Portuguese bakers after noticing a lack of authentic Portuguese pastries, Nata & Co has now grown to be Cardiff’s very own little Portugal where both locals and tourists visit to get their cravings of delicious & homemade food.
Our mission has always been to share our Portuguese roots and spread the love of our cafe culture to everyone who visits, as well as the desire to mitigate a few ‘saudades’ of the Portuguese who have made Cardiff their home.
If you have visited Portugal you know that we are a warm crowd (if you haven’t you definitely should, it’s awesome there!) and we want you to feel that. We want you to feel like you’re home with friends. Our staff is super helpful and knowledgeable in everything that’s Portuguese. Don’t be shy, come say hi!
Find Nata & Co at Cardiff city centre, 3 Castle St CF10 1BS, situated right opposite the famous Cardiff attraction, Cardiff Castle. This is our flagship store, the one most of our clients call ‘the shop’.
Our Castle branch in Cardiff has plenty of seating, stock and smiles. It is not uncommon to find Portuguese tourists coming into our shop and filling the air with the Lisboeta hustle & bustle. Paola and her team will be there to welcome you and make it your favourite places to eat.
We also have another Nata & Co shop, which can be found at 118 Clifton Street, Cardiff CF24 1LW, the one who started it all.
Situated off a busy street in the Splott neighbourhood, our Clifton branch was the very first shop we opened. A lot of our regulars have been there since we started, helping to create our Nata community, this smaller shop is a very special one for us.
It is also our main bakery, where we bake all of our bread and pastries.
