All rates include complimentary Wi-Fi with modem ports, direct dial telephone, television, work desk, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & ironing board, mini-cooler, hair dryer and laptop safe.

Upgrades to Executive room, Junior Suites or Suites available.

However, it is our 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, feather duvets & pillows and the sumptuous choice of fabrics in our designer rooms that will really make your stay with us truly unique and special.

Our 20m stainless steel swimming pool, spa bath and feature steam room provide an oasis of calm to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Our swimming pool is heated and treated with UV filters and chlorine to maintain the very highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The UV filter system is also kinder to skin and hair and more pleasurable to swim in than conventional pools.

Pool loungers are available for you to sit and relax before or after your swim.

Is there on-site parking?

Park Plaza Cardiff does not have car parking facilities on-site. The nearest and most convenient car park is the NCP car park on Greyfriars Road, located directly opposite the Hotel entrance. The Hotel offers a 25% discount for this NCP car park to its customers via a promotional code which can be provided by our hotel reception during your stay. Please note this discount is not applicable to pre-paid bookings. Car parks that may offer more competitive rates can be found within walking distance of the hotel, however, no discount is provided for the alternative options.

Does the hotel offer free Wifi?

Booked a 2 night relaxation stay at this hotel as it also offers a pool and spa treatments. I was able to use my points to treat myself even further and booked the junior suite which was lovely……that was until it got to the night where the noise and vibration of the Christmas fair (boom…boom..boom!!!!) became annoying and even though the fair stopped at 10 pm it unsettled us for the night as it had been a long day. Thankfully, the staff were empathetic to our needs and even though the noise was something out of their control, they offered us an alternative and more suitable room. Nothing was too much effort, the service was great! I loved the small touches like, a basket of treats which included chocolate, chocolate drink, eye masks etc, complementary drink tokens to the bottle of wine for supporting‘sustainability programmes’ and the 12pm check out. The pool was lovely and the lavender exfoliation was amazing! Worth the treat, really enjoyed, relaxed and invigorated 😀

Great rooms. Well appointed and spacious, with good bathroom. Spa facilities good - pool superb, as is jacuzzi. Steam room could do with a bit of a tidy up. Breakfast good but items run out quickly and not replenished fast enough.

Nice hotel. Close to all the facilities of the city centre but not so close you can't get a restful night. Rooms are large, but a little badly designed. Huge bed, large mirror in from of the bed not needed ideal spot for the TV, TV pushed into a corner un viewable, bathroom would have preferred a large shower/wet room instead of a huge bath and tiny shower cubicle. Swimming pool a little wild wild west no directionly boards displayed for direction of swimmers, also the large columns along the length of the pool nightmare. The tray room charge for food delivered to the room I think is a little much and should be scrapped, considering how much the room cost and not everyone uses room service.

Stayed for a three nights, very disappointing. From the moment we arrived the toilet was broken in our room, also a dripping tap. They did fix the toilet but the tap, they need a new part. Staff generally nice but clueless from start to finish the hotel under delivered. They couldn’t even make an Irish coffee at the bar, we waited forty minutes for a drink. Will not be coming back!

Conclusion: I‘d rather have booked the Hilton next door. This place is simply not worth the price. Maybe I have paid just for the Brand? Breakfast came with a pot of instant coffee, presented as if that were perfectly normal in the UK — absolutely unacceptable for the price charged. The bathroom had visible rust. Rooms advertised with a “tree view” cost extra, but in reality I was just paying to stare at branches. Another issue: the hotel claims to have only rooms with bathtubs and no walk-in showers. However, I was shown two rooms (419 and 219) that did have showers — but both looked onto a concrete wall and small windows. These rooms appeared to be designed for guests with special needs that need more access. It’s a pity that the hotel doesn’t provide nicer, better-located rooms with showers. Overall, the hotel has clearly seen better days. The pool was closed, and I was given a Hilton voucher instead — I would have been far better off booking the Hilton in the first place. This was by far my worst hotel experience. I found the staff to be at best indifferent, and at times unfriendly. I am limiting myself here to just a few of the experiences I had.
