The beds provided an excellent night's sleep, and the views from the higher floors over the city skyline are a nice bonus. ​However, the real highlight of the stay, and the feature that truly elevates the experience, is the Buffet Breakfast. ​This is far from a standard hotel offering; it is a genuinely expansive and delicious start to the day. The spread covers every base, offering a full range of high-quality hot items—perfectly cooked sausages, crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and fresh mushrooms—all replenished frequently. For those who prefer lighter options, the selection of fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, and cereals is impressive. Crucially, the quality of the ingredients stands out, making it feel less like a large-scale catering operation and more like a carefully curated meal. The coffee was strong, the juices were fresh, and the staff maintaining the area were exceptionally attentive, ensuring tables were cleared quickly and the stations remained immaculate. It’s an easy five-star breakfast experience that provides great value compared to seeking a similar meal out in the city. ​In summary, the Radisson Blu delivers on its promise of a premium city hotel. I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel Birmingham during a business trip, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the room was spotless with great views over the city. As the owner of MTS – Chauffeur Service & Airport Transfers, I really appreciate smooth hospitality and attention to detail — and Radisson Blu certainly delivered that. The location is perfect for both business and leisure travellers, and parking access made it convenient for our chauffeurs to collect and drop off guests. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Birmingham.

The first room I was allocated had a cigarette smoke smell with one of the fire alarms being covered up with a plastic bag.. this shouldn't be happening if house keeping have done a proper check... But I was moved to another room without any questions.. but in this room the heating didn't work! I was told about the broken heating before changing rooms.. but I'd rather have a cold room than a room that smells of cigarettes. Breakfast was ok.. nothing amazing.. what I was shocked about was that when I ordered an omelette with smoked salmon.. I was told that I had to pay extra for smoked salmon!... In all my years of starting at hotels, this was the first time I've heard of an extra charge if smoked salmon is available! I mentioned that I was a VIP member.. and the charge was waived..but charging extra for smoked salmon is ridiculous... omelette wasn't that nice... I would stay here again but I will lower my expectations of what to expect.. felt like a 3 star hotel rather than 4 star.

Apparently it’s a 4* hotel but I definitely don’t agree. Loud broken air conditioning, terrible cheap pillows and old mattress. Shower hose so short my husband couldn’t fit under it. No extractor fan in bathroom, fridge didn’t work. TV wasn’t a smart TV so you couldn’t watch things like Netflix. Had a view of a brick wall right outside the window which made it very dark and depressing. Rooms need a complete overhaul. We didn’t bother eating any meals there after seeing the low standards in the room as didn’t want to risk more disappointment. Even though we booked a standard room I expect better for £174 a night. Would never stay there again.

Awful overpriced hotel. So disappointed Nov 2025 Overpriced for a shoddy hotel. Room just wasted space of blank walls. Very poorly designed . Paid for a Premier room and total waste of money. 3 lights not working, outdated and cheap furniture that is not fit for purpose. No ironing board etc etc. Bed very uncomfortable and probably as olas the hotel! No electric sockets by beds only across the room on a low coffee table. USB sockets old style so can't use them Awful water pressure Who on earth decided these were premier rooms and put such an overinflated price on them. Breakfast passible but on the whole tasteless. I am so disappointed in this hotel, oh yes they take 50 quid deposit from you in case you break something which they will refund.
