Had a great stay here! It is in a very convenient location, and there's an Underground metro station right next. There's a theater too, a block away, and tons of eateries and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Convenient walking distance to the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, Parliament and Big Ben, St. James Park, etc. The hotel has two restaurants on site (one is open 24/7), and breakfast offering is great with a wide variety of buffet selection.

Aging hotel that needs a lot of attention but in an amazing location for a competitive price We went for an exec room as we had read the reviews about the issues with the standard rooms. Our room was reasonably spacious for central London and had a good sized and well equipped bathroom. Like much of the hotel it is clearly aging and need some more care taken for example about the curtains not attached to the curtain rail and the noisy air con. It was a real nasty surprise to be asked for £1 charge per bag for storage after check out. An unnecessary and trivial annoyance when any customer has already paid for their accommodation etc

We went with my friend and stayed for 6 nights. The hotel’s location is amazing, close to everything and right in the city center. Because we booked early, it wasn’t too expensive for us. We stayed in a Signature Twin Room with two separate beds. The room was nice, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The room was too small for us, and we had trouble opening our suitcases. When we first arrived, it was very clean. They also tidied up the room every day, emptied the trash, and restocked the toilet paper. However, we noticed that the bed sheets and towels were not changed every day. Luckily, we had brought our own pillowcases and towels. Also, as far as we could tell, the floors weren’t vacuumed or mopped. The windows only open a little, so we couldn’t really ventilate the room. On our last day, it was very helpful that we could leave our luggage at the hotel, and the staff were kind. Still, for a hotel that we only used for sleeping, it was enough.

We spent 4 nights at the St Giles. The room (12th floor) was older and small, but perfectly fine for our needs. The real issue started when we checked out. To store our bags, we had to scan a QR code and pay £10 per bag. Despite the staff assuring us it was a one-time payment, it turned out to be a hidden subscription. I am now being charged every single day! The hotel is not responding to my emails, and because I never received any registration details, I cannot cancel this 'subscription.' It is unacceptable to treat guests this way. Be very careful with the QR codes provided at the luggage desk! Very disappointing!

Staying at this hotel was an unfortunate mistake. The room we were first assigned was on the 12th floor, accessible only by taking an elevator to the 11th floor and switching to another one or using the stairs. This setup wasn’t ideal, but it wasn’t the problem. The real disappointment came from two major issues that made our stay completely unacceptable: 1. Dirty bedding The bed sheets had yellow stains all over them - both the sheet and the duvet cover. Discovering this late at night was a nightmare and incredibly upsetting. It was one of the most disgusting moments I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Thankfully, I had brought my own bedding, which saved me from an even worse night. 2. No water pressure There was absolutely zero water pressure in the shower, regardless of the time - day or night. When we raised the issue at the reception the next evening, the representative was dismissive and suggested we keep the water running for 15 minutes for improvement. We tried the suggestion - it didn’t work. We were two people, and each of us had to shower for nearly 30 minutes just to rinse off the soap. Later, maintenance came and replaced the shower head, but admitted there was nothing further they could do. Unsurprisingly, the problem remained. The whole experience was beyond frustrating. The next morning, we returned to the lobby and spoke with a different representative, who was much more helpful and ultimately moved us to a new room. Only then were we able to shower normally. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you choose to stay in this hotel - check everything is working properly before checking in and unpacking. The experience was extremely disappointing and unnecessarily stressful, especially during a trip that should have been enjoyable.
