RESTAURANT & BAR

Good food and drink are essential ingredients for any getaway and the hotel’s restaurants and bars don’t disappoint. From breakfasts that leave you raring to go, to evening meals with the wow factor we’ve got all your culinary needs covered.

Chef Dominik Kawalec is the Head Chef for Drinks and Dining, as well as all Surgeons Quarter Events Areas. Dominik likes to cook with fresh local produce and he believes few places have a better natural larder than Scotland. His thoughts on restaurant menus are simple – Adam believe in cooking what the customer wants!

The breakfast buffet is served from 7am-10am during the week and from 8am-11am at weekends. It includes all the elements of a Scottish breakfast, cooked meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals, bread and pastries. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

GYM

As part of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, they are delighted to be providing their guests with the opportunity to keep up with their health and fitness routines while visiting Ten Hill Place. Installed on floor -1, the gym offers nine different machines and a free weights section and operates 24h.

We had a perfect Christmas break at Ten Hill Hotel. All the staff were friendly and polite; however, Kevin truly stood out for his warm, genuine hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure our happiness, and it was clear that his care and attention came from a genuine place. Rejes and Mark gave a fun, uplifting energy that truly brightened our stay. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the old town and around 20 minutes from the train station. It’s a good location overall; while the main street outside had some edge to it. We never felt unsafe, and there was no noise disturbance inside the hotel rooms. We were part of the Christmas package with food included. There were good meal options and the quality was nice, though it could be refined slightly for an even better experience. Breakfast offered many choices, and the buffet was always well replenished. The bar staff made excellent drinks and cocktails. Overall, we would happily recommend this hotel to friends, family, or anyone visiting Edinburgh. We were very happy with our Christmas package and would book it again.

Stayed last week with my partner at this property. Its was my first time staying with them and it was perfect. The location, room , facilities, check in and check out process. Miss raman had help with checkin. She was very helpful and warmly. She also helped us with local map and things to do accordingly to our time in Edinburgh. The room with the price point was perfect with lovely hot chocolate supplies, iron with iron board, bath mat, body wash, shampoo conditioner and body lotion, wide mirror in bathroom, air conditioning with perfect temp for winters. Tv was smart tv but wifi seems to be not working on tv but it didnt bother us.

We had the most amazing stay at The Ten Hill . From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless — the atmosphere, the comfort, and the attention to detail were all outstanding. The hotel itself is beautiful, well-kept, and in a perfect location, which made our trip even more special. A huge special mention to Jonathan in reception, who truly went above and beyond for us. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his warmth and professionalism made such a difference to our stay. Jonathan is an absolute credit to the hotel and played a massive part in making our trip so memorable. We couldn’t recommend this enough and will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Loved everything about this hotel. The shower pressure, the comfy bed, nice big pillows, selection of tea and coffee, and the location was close to bars and cafés. The only slightly questionable thing was the frosted door with fully see-through parts. I visited with my sister but luckily we respect each other's privacy.

First time at 10 hill place. It was a superb couple of days really close to everything. The reception team were fantastic, could t be more helpful. We had a room up from the standard room and it was great value and of a high standard. Nice lounge and bar area. Big thanks to Alex in the restaurant who helped us at breakfast, having 2 your babies and 6 adults dining together. Lynne was also so helpful and always checking all was ok. The breakfast is of a high standard, great local produce and presentation. Would highly recommend this hotel in Edinburgh.
