The Parkgate Hotel

Amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an unforgettable anniversary stay at The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff last night. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The highlight of our visit was the 90 minutes we spent in the thermal spa—such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience! Our room was absolutely amazing, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. We also enjoyed a fantastic meal at the hotel's restaurant, where our waiter, Massimiliano, provided top-notch service—friendly, professional, and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be staying here again in the future. Highly recommended!

Had a lovely couple of days staying at The Parkgate with my two daughters. The hotel itself is in the best location in Cardiff. Right in the City Centre surrounded by all the shops, cafe's, restaurants and bars etc. Hotel was very clean and smart everywhere. The staff were all very welcoming and genuinely nice, no pretentious nonsense that you sometimes find in more upmarket establishments. I have to mention Keith on front of house, he was so down to earth and friendly. All the staff were lovely. Breakfasts were delicious. Buffet style with all you could want and the dinner was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Parkgate to anyone wanting a relaxing few days. We also used the Spa and had treatments during our stay which was also a fantastic experience. I do love a good spa day. Krystal was my therapist and she was super friendly but still professional. My massage and facial was so nice I dozed off!

Amazing service at dinner time. I went with my boyfriend as a birthday celebration and we were served by Massimilian and he was brilliant. He was so friendly and funny, and gave me a birthday cocktail, and a small dessert (which were both delicious). Mo served us the food and didn't leave until everything was declared perfect. Would definitely come again!

I recently stayed at that hotel and had a nice experience. The room was very comfortable, featuring an exceptionally cozy bed. The hotel was quiet and very clean, making for a relaxing stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend The Park Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Cardiff!

Hotel was fantastic decor and cleanliness and a warm feeling to it with great facilities. is perfectly placed for a short walk to the train station and the centre of town. Frustratingly I have to rate it 1 on service and that is possibly too high. Near every interaction with staff was terrible. I called the hotel 6 times to book the room as website was down but nobody answered for 4 hours. i entered the bar that was table service and after 15 minutes went to the bar to wait another 5 minutes before walking round to find 3 bar staff chatting and drinking in a corner while 3 other customers were also saying the same frustrations. Next day we sat in the restaurant in front of reception for a coffee while waiting for a train. We waited 30 minutes before we saw anybody despite 4 people setting cables, eventually I asked if we could get some coffee and a member of staff said I could help myself. I explained if I wanted to make my own I wouldn’t at to stay in a hotel.. After finishing out coffee a staggering 2 hours passed (delayed train) and the cups and cable had not been cleared nor had we been offered anything else or asked if we needed anything. I had to walk into the restaurant 3 times to ask for the bill for coffee and then a man came out and asked what I wanted s bill for. All just a bit amateur really. very sad that Celtic group have put a massive effort investment into the hotel and it only falls over on the things that don’t cost money. attention to detail and effort . If I stayed again it would need to be better or I would black list it for life.
