A Truly Exceptional Stay: Luxury and Impeccable Service at The Parkgate Hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars My recent stay at The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff was nothing short of magnificent, setting a new benchmark for luxury and service. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience was super impressive and immaculate. The Superior Suite: A Luxurious Retreat We had the pleasure of staying in one of the Superior Suites, and it was super awesome. The layout felt less like a hotel room and more like a high-end apartment. The separate living area and bedroom provided ample space to relax and unwind, offering a genuine sense of privacy and luxury. The bathroom was a particular highlight, featuring a beautifully designed space with a separate soaking tub and walk-in shower, complemented by an elegant dual vanity. It was the perfect, indulgent setup for starting or ending the day. Service and Location The overall service was truly immaculate and super impressive. Every member of staff we encountered from reception to housekeeping was professional, attentive, and genuinely warm, making us feel completely cared for throughout our visit. The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. We found that everything was walkable distance, making it incredibly convenient to explore Cardiff’s key attractions, shops, and restaurants without needing a car or public transport. Breakfast - A Must-Have While breakfast is an optional extra that you pay for separately when booking, I can confidently say it was completely worth it. The quality, selection, and setting were superb and the perfect fuel for a day of exploring. I highly recommend adding it to your stay. In summary, The Parkgate Hotel provides a truly five-star experience. The combination of the stunning Superior Suites, the impeccable service, and the prime location makes this the only place to stay in Cardiff. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed in a Deluxe Junior Suite at The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff and were really impressed. The room was stunning – beautifully designed and absolutely spotless. Everything felt luxurious and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast was very good. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was lovely, and our server Mo really stood out – very friendly and provided excellent service. Our only slight issue was with noise. Our room was on the first floor, and as light sleepers, we noticed the windows weren’t very soundproof. There are a couple of bars opposite the hotel, and even though it was a quiet night due to the weather, we could still hear cars and some bar noise. I imagine it could be much louder in the summer. I did ask if we could change rooms, but the hotel was fully booked, so unfortunately that wasn’t possible. When you’re paying around £230 a night, you do expect a bit more peace and quiet. That said, overall it was a lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with great staff – we’d happily return, but would definitely request a higher floor next time.

The Parkgate is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Easily walkable to the city center and from the train station. The room was clean and a good size. The room service did forget our coffees as part of our breakfast order which we never received but I chalked it up to a very busy morning with many guests there for the half marathon (as were we). They provided electrolytes and bananas in the lobby pre and post race and 15 stretches/massages were available after. I felt like that was above and beyond what I expected from most hotels. Would absolutely stay here again.

We brought a group of 32 people to stay here for three nights. From the time we arrived the service was exceptional! Richard greeted us and had all of the room keys laid out in alphabetical order to hand them out. He then directed the group to the elevators and explained where the various eating areas were located. We had two dinners at the hotel as well as breakfast every morning. Kaspers, the restaurant manager met with me personally to ensure that our clients with dietary restrictions had heathy enjoyable meals that were made fresh. I can’t say enough about the experience! Food was all delicious and the service was top notch. Thank you to all of the staff for an incredible time at the Parkgate Hotel!

A little bit of a let down! Planned night away following on from my wife completing chemotherapy and an arduous past few months. Contacted the hotel twice prior to our visit to query early check in and or bag drop off availability no response on either occasion and phone was constantly engaged. Externally dirty with cigarette ends and dirty cups adorning the door way and window ledges. Initial thoughts upon entering the lobby were pleasant. Check in was easy and the lady at reception was extremely polite and knowledgeable. Stated that we both had mobility issues and evident that my wife is suffering from cancer we were placed on the top floor and in the far corridor, not really that great for persons with mobility issues. Room temperature as spacious although a little disjointed, great views of the stadium entrance. However is was dirty! Stains on sofa, bundles of fluff and hair on the floor. Please see pics! Breakfast was good and plentiful. Not the wow factor we thought, and now that we have visited unlikely to return.
