Looking for things to do while you stay in Oxford, then you can borrow a bike from the front desk and go and explore the city on two wheels.

We know how nice it is to hand over the keys after a long drive. They offer a service to valet your car with unlimited in and out privileges for £48 per night (from 14:00 on day of arrival to 12:00 on day of departure). Each additional hour from 12:00pm is £6.00.

Their Wellness Centre offers a range of nurturing spa treatments in partnership with Germaine de Cappucini, and a relaxing Thermal Suite with jacuzzi, saunas, steam room and sensation showers.

This hotel has spoiled us for other hotels! We had a marvelous five-night stay. It was within a ten-minute walk of anywhere we wanted to go in Oxford--university, museums, plays, concerts, lectures. It was also an easy walk from the train station. Yes, the rooms are small, but they're carefully designed to maximize space and we had plenty of shelf space and hangers to unpack. We even had a mini-refrigerator, which I was not expecting, and the usual tea kettle items you find in most English hotels. Two things I want to single out. First, the housekeeping staff was marvelous. They were very accommodating with our schedule, which changed from day to day, and came to clean when it was convenient for us. A member of the housekeeping staff and a member of the front desk staff both helped me find a sweater I had lost in the hotel. They were efficient and also kind. My husband had a great experience with the front desk staff also when he borrowed a free bicycle from the hotel. The other thing I want to mention is that the included breakfast buffet is outstanding. The service was particularly good, with the same professional wait staff working at breakfast each day we were there. The staff there have the breakfast service down to a science but still manage to make each guest feel welcome. I would love to come here again but it's far out of my price range (for this trip, someone else was paying, which was a treat). But I will always remember this hotel with great fondness and appreciation. What a special place!

Stayed for one night when we visited Oxford for an event in the New Theatre. Location is perfect. Central and easy to get to. Valet parking was a bonus - most city centre hotels no longer have parking, so it was convenient to not have to worry about funding somewhere to park. The hotel is in a lovely, victorian gothic style building. Felt very "on brand" for Oxford. Our room was nice. Nice, quirky decor, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Food in the Alice was good, and the service was quick, friendly and professional. Check in/out was a breeze. 5/5 would stay again.

Perfectly good service etc. well done. Quite good cocktails too. So enjoy it for the £300 rooms But what a fake rubbish take on Victoriana but who cares eh? Good for tourists and I met some lovely tourists there bit what a theme park dump

We were recommended to come to the Alice at Randolph for a cream tea. One of the cups at our table had chips in the rim and I asked for it to be changed. We only received the tea, the scones didn't arrive and none of the waiters noticed. We had to ask what happened to the order. We were told the kitchen didn't get the printout of our order. Inadequate jam and cream provided for four scones. The waiter happily provided more when we asked. Lovely venue but overall it was disappointing.

Afternoon Tea at the Alice - Don't bother! A group of four of us had afternoon tea in the Alice Restaurant in The Randolph Hotel a couple of weeks ago and it was the worst afternoon tea I have ever had. Only two teas on the tea menu were actually available, Earl Grey and English breakfast, and when the English breakfast tea eventually arrived it was a teabag in the pot. The sandwiches were dry and there was so little filling it was hard to tell which variety was which. The scones were okay, the little cakes were very average. You can have a higher quality afternoon tea at our local garden centre. At a cost of £89.00 per couple including the 20% service charge, (I know you don't have to pay it but it's embarrassing to quibble when you're with friends), it's definitely not worth it. For what was supposed to be a special treat all in all it was a totally underwhelming experience. Not at all what you would expect from Oxford's most prestigious hotel. I have phoned and emailed The Randolph and Hilton about our experience but to date have heard nothing back, not even an apology.
