FAQ's

What is it?

Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience combines immersive theatre, virtual reality, augmented reality, holograms and cutting-edge technology, all set to Jeff Wayne's iconic score; giving audiences the chance to live through the Martian invasion of 1898.

Do you need to know the story?

No, not at all! We have designed the experience to be understood and enjoyed by those who don’t know anything about The War of The Worlds.

How long is the experience?

Your experience will last for around 1 hour 50 mins, including a 20 minute interval in The Red Weed Bar. We also have our very own steampunk themed bar - The Spirit of Man, where you can enjoy drinks and delicious meals before and after your experience.

Will it be scary?

Don’t worry, it’s a fun experience and most people don’t find it too scary. There are some surprises, shocks, and moments of suspense but it’s not too scary overall.

What should I wear?

As this is an immersive experience, across two floors, we recommend you wear comfortable clothing and flat trainers or shoes. High heels, flip flops or similar are not suitable and our team reserve the right to refuse entry for health and safety reasons.

What is the minimum age?

The recommended minimum age is 10yrs. Please note that some scenes are very dark with loud noises, which some children may not enjoy. Children aged 10-15yrs will require parental consent via a waiver prior to admission and must be accompanied by an adult 18+ at all times. Under 18s must vacate the main bar area by 8pm.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 45 mins before the start time on your tickets (or earlier to enjoy a drink in our steampunk themed bar). This will give you plenty of time to get checked-in, sign the waivers, and store your belongings in a locker (these are free to use). Unfortunately, we are unable to admit latecomers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A breathtaking journey back to the Martian invasion of Earth 🌍 My VIP visit to War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience was absolutely outstanding — a thrilling journey back in time to the moment the Martians arrived on Earth. From the moment you step inside, the venue completely transports you to the era of the invasion. The attention to detail is exceptional, with beautifully crafted environments that make the story feel immediate, intense, and utterly believable. It feels like you are living through history as it unfolds. The actor performances were superb throughout — immersive, compelling, and perfectly pitched. Each interaction added depth and urgency, making the experience feel dynamic and alive rather than staged. The VIP experience was elevated further by delicious food and expertly made cocktails, which were both a genuine highlight and a welcome moment of indulgence during the evening. The staff were consistently lovely, friendly, and professional, clearly passionate about what they do and keen to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience. This is immersive theatre at its very best — expertly executed, thrilling from start to finish, and well worth the VIP upgrade. A truly memorable experience and a must-see in London.

Absolutely amazing, well worth it, the actors and special effects were outstanding. I booked this as a treat for my wifes birthday, we travelled up from Cornwall, we both come from near where the story is set at Horsell common so has always meant something to us, we bought loads of goodies and had a fantastic meal there, we had a Carries bakewell tart cocktail each and they were amazing too. All the staff were amazing, we loved every minute, interacting with the actors is a must, you get so much more from the experience, sorry I'm rambling on, if you get a chance to go...GO!! You will not be disappointed, great job guys and girls, you did us proud 🥰🥰🥰🫶🫶👏👏👏👏

We really enjoyed it. It’s a unique and very well-made immersive experience with impressive sets and a great location. There is also a bar with cool effects, so you can have a great time while waiting. Even though the theme isn’t usually my favorite, the execution was excellent. The actors were great and the VR experiences were great too (I think 3 in total...). I would definitely do it again and maybe we will;-)

WE HAVE SURVIVED! what an epic experience, if your a war of the worlds fan you must definitely visit this place, we came for food before our session which was really good. The actors (especially the last actor) were brilliant, it’s so good you get to interact with them and be part of the story! Half way you get to go to the tavern (aka the red weed bar) and everything about it was just amazing. I’m still speechless whilst typing this up!

Yesterday we went to The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience. Honestly, I expected the experience to immerse me much more. The actors’ interaction was excellent and everything was well organized by the staff and reception. But what I didn’t like is that many scenes dragged on for too long, and the story itself just wasn’t for me. I know a lot of people enjoy this type of storyline, but personally, it didn’t work for me. We took the VIP experience, and you basically have to remind the staff about your VIP card at every step. Also, the food included in the experience was just average ، nothing special at all. Overall, the experience is acceptable but definitely overpriced. And the VR scenes really need improvement ، they weren’t clear and felt lower quality than expected.
