EAT & DRINK

Meaning land and sea in Welsh, our restaurant and bar, Tir a Môr, takes its cue from our bayside location and the very best produce Wales has to offer.

The kitchen puts a modern twist on our country’s culinary heritage, from smoked haddock, salmon and spring onion fishcake to
pan-roasted Brecon lamb rump, Blas y Tir vegetables and red wine jus to chicken, Carmarthen ham and leek pie. Desserts elevate traditional puddings, such as Bara Brith bread and butter pudding, and apple and summer berry crumble
.

Our Welsh credentials carry through to our drinks list, with local spirits playing a starring role in our signature cocktails and our own takes on the classics.

SPA

One of Cardiff’s best hotels with a spa, we wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of relaxation and self-care on the soul and the skin. Discover true relaxation through our thoughtfully curated spa journey, designed to instil deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

Start with familiar comforts – hit the ground running in our gym, then take a refreshing plunge in our swimming pool. Follow our peaceful water corridor and let its gentle current guide you to our swan-neck fountains. Sink into one of our water beds or let our hydro pool and sauna melt your stress away.

We visited just before Christmas and over New Years. From the moment you step onto the property the staff make sure your stay is relaxing and enjoyable. Raymond helped us at the hotel reception as we would go back and forth each day and enjoyed the water views at the restaurant and bird watching on the path outside. It was a rejuvenating stay and one we hope to repeat again one day. Kanchan, Hema, Beau, Holly and Stacy in the spa would tailor our sessions with facials, bespoke massages etc to our individual needs, it was superb. Breakfast was like watching an orchestra, as the experience was relaxing and everyone was well taken care of, but my daughter and I appreciated the lady the had the smoothness of a conductor and smile on her face, as she would scan the room for everyone ensuring it was all as planned. I believe for lunch on our 1st day, our waiter’s name was Jermey, he was fantastic and helped with recommending items on the menu and beverages to try. It was delicious and a culinary map, with the holidays. We visited every day and enjoyed rom service after spa treatments or included lunch as their package. Great variety offered, plenty of delicious choices and relaxing views of the water. My daughter and I may not remember everyone’s names, but the efforts by everyone, including those mentioned above but not limited to as support by housekeeping and maintenance to present this property made this trip exactly what we needed and we are forever grateful.

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday and honestly, it made the whole weekend feel special from start to finish. The staff were a real standout — friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely fun. Nothing felt forced, and they added to the experience in a way that’s hard to put into words but very easy to appreciate. The room (713) had a beautiful view and some really thoughtful touches. Complimentary binoculars and a bird book were such a lovely, unexpected detail, and the Nintendo Switch (along with other little add-ons) made it feel more like an experience than just a hotel stay. Food was a mixed bag. The room service wasn’t the nicest, but the breakfast and Sunday roast was lovely. Great location — ideal for exploring Cardiff without needing to travel far at all. The spa facilities were lovely, though at times they did feel a bit overcrowded. This hotel is somewhere I’d happily return to, and if we visit Cardiff again, it’s the only place I’d even consider staying

Fantastic overnight stay at this fabulous hotel and Spa. It's very rare these days to stay somewhere and receive the great service we had. From reception, roomservice, housekeeping , Spa and restaurant, every staff member we had contact with was friendly, helpful and sincere.... The restaurant food was delicious and not expensive for the beautiful surroundings you were in. The Spa is showing it's age a little but still a lovely space to spend a few hours. Our room was as always beautifully furnished and impeccable clean. We have stayed at this hotel once or twice a year over its 30 year life and it always feels like a real treat. Being an IHG member gets you a few little extras worth joining for too. Highly recommend!

My first visit to Voca St David's. Exceptional in every respect. Trizia who checked me in was welcoming, professional and helpful, a real ambassador for IHG. My room overlooking the bay was very comfortable. The bathroom works in every respect. So many hotels get the shower & bath settings wrong, not here I am glad to say. Enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant and the welcome at breakfast was top class as was the buffet. Only criticism is the coffee from the machine could be a bit hotter. No hesitation in recommending this hotel. Good value for money.

A group of 4 of us girls booked a 2 hour spa session for a birthday afternoon out, and overall, we had a lovely, relaxing time. Prior to booking, both Mali and Caitlin were amazing at assisting me with booking as I couldn’t pay online, along with answering all the questions needed. The price for the spa is reasonable in comparison to other spas in the area. You have a pool, wall walk, jacuzzi area and a sauna and all are very spacious for multiple guests to use at once. The changing rooms were fabulous and had everything you needed; from shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers, to hairdryers and straighteners for use afterwards. The only downside to this spa would be the cleanliness of some parts of the spa itself. For example, the glass separating the wall walk area and the main pool was quite grubby along with the metal features which sprayed water out. The jacuzzi walls were also quite grubby. Other than that, the sauna and overall up keep around the spa area was great. I have no images to post due to there being no phones permitted in the spa area.
