FAQ's

Is World of Wedgwood accessible to wheelchair users?

Yes. Walkways are flat and we have ramps and lifts to higher floors. There are various seating areas for rest breaks for those with limited mobility.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed in the courtyard, our main atrium, Josiah & Co and Factory Outlet. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the V&A Wedgwood Collection, on a Factory Tour, or into the Wedgwood Store, Tea Room and Creative Studios unless they are assistance dogs. There are water bowls for dogs located around the courtyard.

Is there somewhere to park at World of Wedgwood?

We have ample free parking here and there is no time limit for how long visitors can park.

Do I have to book?

You must book a factory tour and any creative activities in advance. It is recommended that you also book the Tea Room in advance to avoid disappointment. Booking is not necessary for the V&A Wedgwood Collection and is free entry. You can also enter the site without booking, with access to all of our shops.

We decided to stop here on our drive home from the Lake District and we’re so glad we did. Totally free to get in, there is a fascinating V&A display showing the history and collections of Wedgwood. We then wandered up to the clay and painting studio, which is a great area to bring kids on a rainy day. They also let us have a look at the factory which was cool. The shop is also really nice, with lovely displays.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Pottery Painting at World of Wedgwood Such a lovely place for pottery painting! The prices are very reasonable, and it’s super kid-friendly — perfect for a fun family day out. There’s plenty of parking outside which makes getting there stress-free. You can choose to paint and take your piece home the same day, or leave it to be glazed and pick it up in a few weeks — love the flexibility! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a creative, low-pressure activity for all ages!

Visited the studio for painting some pottery. Staff were so nice and friendly, painted a few pieces all at reasonable prices for each product. You pay for what you paint, rather than just paying to attend which is great. Nice little cafe and factory shop on the campus too.

This is an absolutely magnificent & fabulously iconic attraction to one of the best and renowned pottery firms in the UK. The attraction has a variety of things to do including a factory tour and the V&A Wedgwood Museum Collection. The factory tour element of the attraction is thoroughly informative, interesting and magnificent where you see the making of Wedgwood Pottery at different points first hand and you learn about the processes of how the pottery is made from start to finish and also you can see how the pottery is painted which is amazing and you can admire the paintings and decorations used. The great thing you learn and admire about the factory tour is that every stage of the pottery making process is hand made and there is no use of machines, which is absolutely fantastically unique and outstanding. You can learn about how Jaspar is made as well as Bone China. The tour run on an hourly basis and it is best advised to check the website for further details and it is best to pre-book online to get on a tour. The V&A Wedgwood Collection is another fantastic addition to this place and is free entry to visit and you can learn about the history of Wedgwood and how is business started and boomed and evolved through time and you can see the informative displays and some wonderful crockery on display giving you a clear idea of how the business has grown and become a household name today. There a few shopping outlets selling a series of shops selling various items at reasonable prices and also a cafe selling refreshments at reasonable prices. Overall a very worthwhile and thoroughly amazing place to visit making for a very enlightening day out. Well worth a visit whilst in Stoke-on-Trent.
