World of Wedgwood is a gold award-winning tourist destination in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. Home to Stoke-on-Trent’s most prestigious brand, Wedgwood, and the galleries of the V&A Wedgwood Collection.

Our multi-experience site houses our hands-on Creative Studios, Wedgwood Factory, Wedgwood Tea Room, and a diverse range of retail outlets, delicious eateries and bars.

Join us on a tour of the Wedgwood Factory for a behind-the-scenes experience where we reveal how Wedgwood is designed, created and crafted.

The Wedgwood Tea Room offers a stunning restaurant space in the Staffordshire countryside for breakfast, brunch, lunch and our iconic Wedgwood Afternoon Tea. Dining with little ones? They’ll love our Little Gardeners Afternoon Tea.

This is the place to discover the craftsmanship of our famous jasperware, a unique invention by Josiah Wedgwood I.

Marvel at the extraordinary skills of our talented workers who cast, glaze, decorate and gild in our original 1940s working factory.

FAQ's

Is World of Wedgwood accessible to wheelchair users?

Yes. Walkways are flat and we have ramps and lifts to higher floors. There are various seating areas for rest breaks for those with limited mobility.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed in the courtyard, our main atrium, Josiah & Co and Factory Outlet. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the V&A Wedgwood Collection, on a Factory Tour, or into the Wedgwood Store, Tea Room and Creative Studios unless they are assistance dogs. There are water bowls for dogs located around the courtyard.

Is there somewhere to park at World of Wedgwood?

We have ample free parking here and there is no time limit for how long visitors can park.

Do I have to book?

You must book a factory tour and any creative activities in advance. It is recommended that you also book the Tea Room in advance to avoid disappointment. Booking is not necessary for the V&A Wedgwood Collection and is free entry. You can also enter the site without booking, with access to all of our shops.

A top class museum to explore if you want to know anything about the Wedgwood family business and their amazing creativity from the late 17 hundreds to today . After exploring the time line and seeing beautiful show cases of all their work from cream and jasper ware to cameos and vases then you can pop into the tea room or shops. I recommend the Blue pagoda tea . It has a fruity flavour and a lovely mango aroma. The coffees are very good too with options for oat milk . I have also had afternoon tea with friends to celebrate a birthday .It's quite pricey but you will enjoy the surroundings and the ambiance as well as the fantastic cakes and sandwiches. A real treat !

Pottery Taster Sessions. We first visited the Clay Studio a few weeks ago, with a keen interest in learning how to throw and make something on the potters wheel. We met the lovely Lisa, who welcomed us and taught us the basic skills needed to make something that we were both very proud of. We had 1hr to begin with, which went very fast, but we were instantly hooked! We booked again, this time for a 3hr session to help further develop our skills and understanding of how to use the Jasper ware clay. We met the brilliant Amy who has a wealth of knowledge about the clay itself, and was very happy to assist and guide us with our makes. Once again, we have walked away feeling very proud of the items we made today, and we keenly anticipate the final products once they have returned from being glazed and fired. We are already planning a return visit with hopes of trying out the Clay Community. Thanks, Lydia &Tom x

Exceeded expectations with a beautiful display of collections, shop and exhibitions. Some exclusive styles available to purchase including exclusive Wedgwood advent calendar. Everything was beautiful, a visual feast. Really lovely staff. Wish we had come with more time to spend as you need a few hours to appreciate it all and to spend time in the wonderful café too!

Outing for our group. Lovely clean and spacious entrance. Fantastic, knowledgeable staff in all parts of our tour. Some of our group have one or two mobility issues, all the visitors were given time to go round at their own pace. A great afternoon out, will be back and would highly recommend.
