Travel to a dimension beyond imagination at Wake The Tiger’s brand new mind-bending expansion, the OUTERverse. You’re guaranteed the trip of a lifetime and an experience to remember.
A year in the making, Bristol’s award-winning immersive experience, Wake The Tiger, has expanded to mind-bending limits with the ultra extraordinary OUTERverse.
Brand new this month, be one of the first to explore an extra 1,000 sqm of walk-though fantasy adventure. A labyrinth of exploration for both the young and young at heart, 15 new spaces will challenge perceptions.
Visitors should prepare for a multitude of captivating spaces from the moment they transcend to the OUTERverse. This ‘transcendence’ takes place in the Astral Tour Lounge, where voyagers will no longer find themselves in the dystopian world of Meridia, but instead, The Astral Tour Lounge: a futuristic airport lounge that radiates a feeling of a “cosmic retrofuture”. Followed by The Void; a new-for-2024 interactive particle environment that invites detachment from passengers’ usual feelings and sensory perceptions, and is where the real journey begins.
The epicentre of the OUTERverse, Aetheria, promotes personal discovery. A giant head, aglow with projection mapping, visitors are invited to relax and explore multiple layers appealing to their curiosity and creativity. Celestial, immersive, cosmic and spiritual, visitors should expect to explore the spaces, before bracing themself for an exhilarating descent back to Earth 2.0 with a seven metre high twisting and turning slide descent back to reality.
The OUTERverse plays home to a selection of unique creative installations, including a segment from an actual plane, a cosmic kitchen and various nostalgic childhood toys.
Throughout the adventure, passengers can also pause for a moment of tranquillity in a chamber inspired by the natural beauty of crystals and have their minds well and truly dazzled in a sea of black and white stripes.
Having cemented itself as a leading attraction in the UK and showcasing the best of Bristol’s cultural and creative talent, Wake The Tiger’s new offering – which builds on the current Dream Factory experience showcases the skills of the city’s makers and creators.
Graham MacVoy, Managing Director at Wake The Tiger, said: “We’re so proud of what we have achieved over the past 18 months, and this expansion is a natural progression for us here at Wake The Tiger. We wanted to combine connection, memories and spirituality into a journey that will blow people’s minds, where every moment promises breathtaking visuals and awe-inspiring concepts.
Developing this second stage has been a wonderful process. Words can’t describe what to expect, so everyone is just going to have to come and see it for themselves.”.
As well as an entirely new dimension to discover, the new year at Wake The Tiger brings monthly sensory sensitive sessions, After Hours evenings for adults-only every other Friday and more spectacular celebration events with DJs, live bands and out-of-this-world performers that are accessible for all.
