Get away from it all at the Best Western Ship Hotel in Weybridge, the Surrey hotel offers great travel connections for business globetrotters and enthusiastic holidaymakers. The Best Western Ship Hotel is one of the cheapest hotels near London and is located in the beautiful market town of Weybridge in Surrey and as a former coaching inn – dating back to the 17th Century – the hotel has retained much of its period charm, yet still boasts an elegant, up-to-date interior.

This hotel is surrounded by some of England’s most attractive countryside, whilst London‘s hustle and bustle is just an hour away (great news for anyone who wants the best of both worlds). If you decide to spend a day in the capital, you’ll certainly have no trouble finding something to do. Why not see a show on the West End, spend a thought-provoking afternoon at the Tate Modern, or even pay a visit to the King?

The hotel is proud to provide guests with easy access to two Airports, London and nearby motorways. If you’re searching for a superb place to stay near Heathrow, the Best Western is situated a short 15-minute drive away. It’s also a great hotel near Gatwick just 30-minutes away – so when you stay with us, the world really is your oyster!

The Best Western Ship Hotel is just as attractive if you’re looking for some fun with the family. Thanks to our close relationships with many attractions and venues, we offer a whole host of great days out with discounted tickets. Just ask at the reception desk for details.

I’ve have to say all staff are fantastic. Whether the breakfast team, the checking-in team, the waiting staff at the restaurant or the cleaners. Foods ok, but plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. However, I would like to give special praise for Celine who works behind the bar. She is fantastic, clever with a great sense of humour. The senior leadership team at this hotel chain need to take note. A credit to the hospitality industry. I look forward to returning die a stay in the near future.

Small older style hotel/bar/restaurant just off the high street. A little worn in places but clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and attentive. Food reasonable, good coffee and an ample breakfast buffet. Ample free car parking.

Lovely building and fantastic location in the town centre. Downstairs area and breakfast were great, but as another review mentioned the heat was torture, and you couldn't open the windows more than a few cm (safety understandably). It was unbearable in the night so wouldn't recommend to those who suffer from the heat (when we went it wasn't particularly hot outside). Beds also not great, especially compared to a premier inn. Staff lovely and helpful although interrogated twice about the age of my children and whether another adult was staying in the room, which was off-putting! Air conditioning would be a game changer, wouldn't visit again without.

UNBEARABLY HOT! Do not stay here in summer unless you want to experience the Western Sahara as opposed the the Best Western. The hotel itself is inoffensive but wow, the temperature of the rooms! Yes they don’t have air conditioning but it’s more than that, our bedroom did not drop below 30 degrees all night, despite open windows, fan and sometimes the door propped open (so anyone could have wondered in). It was cooler in the corridors or outside but in our room on the 2nd floor, it was roasting. I rang up after one night to see if a cooler room was available and they said no, it’s the same everywhere. The problem is the design of the hotel traps the heat and they should not be letting guests stay in such hot rooms. We didn’t even get a warning when booking or nearer the time of the stay. The temperature would be dangerous for babies and elderly people. But they were happy to take our money (£125 per night) and offer nothing other than a fan to blow the hot air around. DO NOT VISIT IN SUMMER. Go to the nearby Premier Inn which has air conditioning.

Arrived from Australia - Booked via booking.com arrived at property where we were greeted by a broken bottle at the entrance. Tried to check in and was told they didn’t have the booking and after checking I have to admit I had booked the wrong date. The receptionist offered no help at all because we’d booked via booking.com and we had to leave. Contacted booking.com they won’t cancel without charge. Just beware of this hotel who have entirely lacking in customer service and watch out for booking.com who are offer no service or support at all. What a great welcome to the uk. …. Thanks to the hotel for your frankly useless and patronising response. Totally indicative of your customer service team. If you don’t want people to book via booking.com don’t advertise on there. How else would a visitor know how to find you if they are from overseas. Your reception person didn’t offer any help he was smug and left us standing at reception with no alternatives. Straight off a plane from Melbourne so forgive our mistake. When I did ask for you to refund the payment for the booking you refused - no good will there and that’s totally different to booking in Australia where we are clearly more capable of displaying empathy over profit. Please feel free to leave another of your passive aggressive replies. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
