VISITING THE LEISURE POOL

If you’re searching for a day out in Cardiff with the family, book yourselves a session at Cardiff International Pool.

All Leisure Pool sessions MUST be pre-booked prior to arrival.

They are now operating a ‘banding system’; when you arrive you will be given a coloured wrist band and allocated a 1-Hour time slot. Once your session has ended your coloured wristband will be called and you will be asked to vacate the water.

Please check for Opening Times on the Website as these change during term times, this is very important.

We’re here to help you meet your fitness goals with a spacious gym, 50m swimming pool, group exercise classes and health suite, all can used by non-members (check website for details).

Please note all bookings are NON REFUNDABLE, all changes to bookings must be made at least 7 days prior to the booking date and we DO NOT operate our slides within the Leisure Pool during English Half Term.

My son gave it 5 stars, we loved our time there. Just remember you gotta pre book. Would be nice if the entrance gates to the lazy river were open, feels like you gotta walk around the whole pool for slides etc. Some repairs due on the glass/balustrades and floor a little slippery in certain spots like it needs a chem clean/jet wash but yes still great pool and certainly worth 5 stars. Nice to go to a pool where everything is operating as it should be and half of it isn't closed.

Today, we had a fantastic visit to the Cardiff International Pool with my family and a friend's family. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless, starting with getting our entrance tickets and picking up some swimming essentials like goggles and swim caps from the well-stocked shop. The pool area was impressive, offering something for everyone. The highlight for the more experienced swimmers in our group was definitely the blue slide. It’s an exhilarating ride that drops you into a 2.5-meter-deep pool—perfect for those confident in the water. The red slide, on the other hand, was a big hit with everyone. It’s long and winding, offering a thrilling but safe ride, ideal for those who aren’t strong swimmers but still want a bit of excitement. For the younger kids, the orange and yellow slides were perfect. They’re shorter and designed with little ones in mind, though they do have height restrictions to ensure safety. The kids couldn’t get enough of them and kept going back for more. After all the fun, we took a break at the café. It’s a comfortable space with a good selection of snacks and drinks, perfect for recharging before heading back to the pool. Overall, it was a wonderful day filled with laughter, excitement, and great memories for both families.

Decent pool, hour isn't enough especially when it's rammed and queue 10 minutes for a slide. Changing rooms not cleanest. Hair dryers take 50p, but there's no chance anywhere in the building. 2025 I'd expect to be able to pay by card or them be free

Nice pool, always warm (water and air temp) changing rooms are clean and the walk in dryers are great (£1 contactless only) lockers are £1. Has been closed a couple of times lately die to mechanical issues but otherwise very good.

Pool temperature was really cold, there were actually children with teeth chattering which is shame seen how much it costs to enter. If you have young children who dont use the big slides, go to Cogan leisure centre a few mins away as its much warmer and far cheaper. Also due to the time slots, there aren't enough showers, as when 100 people suddenly get told to leave the pool as their time slot is up, there are only a hand full of showers to rinse off meaning people are stood around in the cold waiting for one.
