2 months agoThe Cutty Sark in Greenwich is a captivating maritime museum and a must-visit for history enthusiasts and families alike. This 19th-century tea clipper, renowned for its speed, offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore its decks and learn about its rich history. Highlights include the chance to walk beneath its suspended hull and participate in interactive exhibits. While some visitors find the entry fee a bit steep, the overall experience is engaging and educational. It's advisable to visit during off-peak hours to avoid crowds. The Cutty Sark stands as a testament to Britain's seafaring legacy and offers a memorable experience for all ages.

3 months agoThe Cutty Sark is a ship which was used for various purposes in the past, such as for the tea trade. I absolutely love that it is currently used as a museum, with the museum being on the actual ship itself! It's in great condition, with lots of interesting information to read and plenty of interactive screens throughout. Going up to the top floor gives you great views of Greenwich and other parts of London. There is an excellent cafe on the lower deck, which sells delicious cakes, sandwiches and coffee. There is also a really nice gift shop on-board too. The tickets are reasonably priced, and they often sell discounted tickets for other local attactions (such as Greenwich Observatory and the National Maritime Museum) if they're purchased at the same time as the Cutty Sark ticket. The entire area is really pleasant, with lots to see and do. There are also excellent transport links in the area. I definitely recommend the Cutty Sark.

a month agoMy group really enjoyed visiting this old former tea clipper. We spent about 2 hours there comfortably. Inside there is lots of interactive history of when it was first made all the way to where it is today, and a cafe underneath when you need some fuel. The deck offers good views of the surrounding area. Lastly the gift shop at the end had good offerings. If you have time in London, I highly suggest visiting the Cutty Sark, also the ship that inspired the whisky of the same name.

a month agoWe visited this because it was on the London Pass. It was such a fun stop on our vacation. I loved the presentation of the ship and how we were able to walk through multiple levels. We even got to see below the ship itself! It was fun to learn about the use of the ship and the cargo it held.

3 weeks agoThe attention to detail and the continuous upkeep makes you feel like you’re back in the 1800’s. So much detail and information every step of the ship. Highly recommend making this part of your London trip
