An award winning restaurant in the heart of London. The St James area in the city centre is a hotspot for all tourists, with plenty of things to do and see in the area, Fallow gives you the chance to refuel. Their concept is, ‘Sustainable cooking, creative thinking’ and it shows with the menu.

Fallow was founded by three individuals in May 2019, two chefs Jack Croft and William Murray, and career entrepreneur James Robson. The essence of this combination makes up much of Fallows DNA, where conscious culinary creativity meets hospitality experience and passion.

What followed from this meeting were a series of sold-out residencies to establish Fallow as one of the most exciting restaurant concepts on the UK restaurant scene.

Fallow’s permanent home in St James’s market was established in November 2021 and has since attracted a string of awards including both the Marie Claire and GQ ‘sustainable restaurant of the year’ and the Caterer award for ‘best new restaurant’.

We were served by Tomos who was an absolutely outstanding host. My partner and I have been watching Will & Jack on the Fallow YouTube channel for a while now and as big foodies it was at the top of our places to visit. The atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk in, the staff are super friendly and welcoming and there’s a real buzz about the place. It’s classy but not pretentious, you feel welcomed and at ease straight away. We booked the Chef’s table and my God it didn’t disappoint. You’re at the front and centre of the kitchen and it’s absolutely incredible to see the pace and precision that the kitchen team work to. Tomos introduced himself and talked us through the food and drinks menus whilst offering some great suggestions. He was a genuinely nice guy who was super knowledgeable about the products and dishes, he helped us choose our order and explained how the dishes would arrive, we then sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere of the kitchen, mesmerised by the skill of the chefs in front of us. Shortly after our drinks arrived which was very quickly followed up by the first of our dishes. The stand-outs were easily the Mushroom Parfait which is an absolute flavour bomb, the Cod’s head which was a real experience, the burger which is up there with some of the best in London and also the Chelsea Tart which is just indulgently delicious. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and now have a very special memory of dining here, we will absolutely be back. Thank you Tomos for making it so memorable.

A brilliant meal! The cocktails were outstanding. The "Rhubarb and custard" was perfectly balanced and one of the best cocktails I have had in a long time, reminded me of the sweets. The mushroom parfait was a highlight, one of the best mushroom dishes I've ever had. The beef ribs were delicious, and the black and blue burger was solid. Corn ribs were nice alongside everything else but nothing too special. The mash with beef on top was good, though in hindsight if you are ordering ribs or a burger you may not need the extra richness. Dessert-wise, the ice cream leaned slightly savoury with the truffle, so if you prefer a sweeter finish it is worth keeping that in mind. It was quite rich food so choosing the right things to balance it all is definitely key. The atmosphere was great, though it was fairly tightly packed and there was pumping music (at an ok level to talk still), so worth bearing in mind if you prefer something quieter. Overall really bold, tasty food and a really memorable experience.

My wife and I had dinner here recently and had a fantastic experience. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Anna looked after us and was brilliant — we asked her to choose dishes for us based on her recommendations, and she nailed it. While everything was excellent, the standout for us was the beef ribs — truly outstanding and highly recommended. Great food, great service, and a wonderful evening overall. We’ll definitely be returning!

We visited Fallow for dinner on our last night in London, and it was easily one of our favourite dining experiences of the trip. The food is incredible and the staff l made the evening so fun and entertaining. We sat at the bar, where we were warmly greeted and kept thoroughly entertained by Rosa and Juniper. Their energy set the perfect tone for the rest of the evening. Our server, Lauren, was an absolute star. She was incredibly attentive and made excellent recommendations like the Lamb Pie special, which was rich, flavourful, and a total must-try. We also highly recommend the Beef and Oyster Tartar and the Confit Potato. The presentation of both the food and the cocktails was stunning. To top it all off, our sommelier Alex guided us toward a delicious orange wine that paired beautifully with our meal. The atmosphere is electric, the food is rich and delicious, and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Thank you to Lauren, Alex, Rosa, and Juniper for making our last night in the city so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Been near the top of my 'to visit' list for years, without a doubt it lived up to my expectations / hype. Visited on a Friday afternoon so very busy with an atmosphere that I can only describe as 'buzzing'. Actually felt a bit intimidated being by myself but the front of house staff were exceptional and quickly put me at ease. Managed to get a seat at the kitchen counter. Pure entertainment watching the chefs do their thing. There's not much I can tell you about the food you probably havnt already heard. Every dish blew me away, unfortunately I didn't have room for desert so when I ordered one anyway it pushed me into that unfortunately full zone. No regrets. That Chelsea tart is something else. One of the chefs took the time to ask me if I'd enjoyed it and we shared what some of our favourite dishes were. It's no wonder the place is such a success. Well done Fallow for providing an exceptional dining experience. Much gratitude.
