An award winning restaurant in the heart of London. The St James area in the city centre is a hotspot for all tourists, with plenty of things to do and see in the area, Fallow gives you the chance to refuel. Their concept is, ‘Sustainable cooking, creative thinking’ and it shows with the menu.

Fallow was founded by three individuals in May 2019, two chefs Jack Croft and William Murray, and career entrepreneur James Robson. The essence of this combination makes up much of Fallows DNA, where conscious culinary creativity meets hospitality experience and passion.

What followed from this meeting were a series of sold-out residencies to establish Fallow as one of the most exciting restaurant concepts on the UK restaurant scene.

Fallow’s permanent home in St James’s market was established in November 2021 and has since attracted a string of awards including both the Marie Claire and GQ ‘sustainable restaurant of the year’ and the Caterer award for ‘best new restaurant’.

We were served by Tomos who was an absolutely outstanding host. My partner and I have been watching Will & Jack on the Fallow YouTube channel for a while now and as big foodies it was at the top of our places to visit. The atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk in, the staff are super friendly and welcoming and there’s a real buzz about the place. It’s classy but not pretentious, you feel welcomed and at ease straight away. We booked the Chef’s table and my God it didn’t disappoint. You’re at the front and centre of the kitchen and it’s absolutely incredible to see the pace and precision that the kitchen team work to. Tomos introduced himself and talked us through the food and drinks menus whilst offering some great suggestions. He was a genuinely nice guy who was super knowledgeable about the products and dishes, he helped us choose our order and explained how the dishes would arrive, we then sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere of the kitchen, mesmerised by the skill of the chefs in front of us. Shortly after our drinks arrived which was very quickly followed up by the first of our dishes. The stand-outs were easily the Mushroom Parfait which is an absolute flavour bomb, the Cod’s head which was a real experience, the burger which is up there with some of the best in London and also the Chelsea Tart which is just indulgently delicious. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and now have a very special memory of dining here, we will absolutely be back. Thank you Tomos for making it so memorable.

Superb lunch at Fallow. Every dish was outstanding, we had the corn ribs, mushroom parfait, shrimp crumpet, potato waffle and pumpkin hummus, and the flavours were absolutely bursting. Each plate was packed with bold, well-balanced flavours and beautifully executed. We thoroughly enjoyed the puddings too, which were just as impressive as the savoury dishes. The service was fantastic from start to finish. Harvey looked after us brilliantly, she recommended some excellent dishes and her overall presence was warm, attentive and professional. A flawless experience all round. 10/10, can’t wait to return

Finally made it here after following the crew on YouTube for so long and it thoroughly lived up to the hype. We went on a Monday night in December and the place was packed full and the atmosphere was fantastic. ​The food was absolutely sensational. The mushroom parfait was insane and honestly the table favourite. I'm not usually a huge truffle fan but it was excellent here and really elevated the dish. The cods head was number 1 on my list to order and while the serving was generous I have to say the parfait stole the show. The corn ribs were a nice appetiser and the beef tartare was excellent with a cool twist. ​Our waiter Jordan was outstanding and gave us great insight into the restaurant and their newer ventures like Fowl and Roe. The whole team was friendly and charismatic and there was great banter between the table and staff. The sommelier picked a Greek wine for me called Thymiopoulos Xinomavro which was absolutely sensational and a fantastic find. Kudos to the whole team.

The food was very delicious and the quality was nice. It was lovely to try the fish head. The mushroom parfait, corn ribs and buratta were very good. Will definitely go back to try other things next time. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

We had an amazing experience at Fallow celebrating my husband’s birthday for a special lunch The team treated us brilliantly from start to finish. We had requested to be seated at the chef’s table, which made the evening feel extra special—the chefs were so chatty, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. It was a great experience to see how the kitchen was so in sync and how dishes were perfected. My husband and I watch the Fallow channel on YouTube and we were a bit starstruck by all the staff. Our server, Stun, was an absolute delight: attentive without being intrusive, warm, knowledgeable, and just genuinely lovely to talk to. The service throughout was seamless and thoughtful, especially given it was a birthday celebration. We received recommendations from everyone, all of which were spot on. Corn ribs and the mushroom parfait are to die for. But the cod head was a real highlight: it was interactive, fun, and absolutely delicious. If you go you've got to get that! We also loved chatting with the chefs Archie, Shaun, and Taisiyn. We were so impressed with Taisiyn as it was only her 2nd day and she did brilliantly! Incredible food, warm hospitality, and a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return! We want to taste the rest of the menu we didn't get to try! Thank you to the whole team for making the day really special. (We didn't get many good photos because we were too busy eating!)
