Go Ape Coventry at Coombe Abbey offers the best of high rope antics. With a Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure Plus and Treetop Adventure, this location has something for thrill-seeking adults and fun-seeking children.

This is a challenging but sociable course which packs a punch featuring a Tarzan Swing and 200 metre dual zip wires, race your mates to the end to see who’s quickest!

You can also release your inner warrior with an hour of axe throwing.

The 500-acres of Coombe Abbey Country Park set a beautiful backdrop to your treetop experience with stunning gardens, woodland and lake.

We’ve thrown the thrill-factor book at our Coventry location. It’s a double whammy of treetop fun and stunning location. The famous “Capability” Brown designed the landscape so enjoy the unrivalled views of the beautiful park with its open grasslands, woodlands, deer park and open lakes. It’s home to one of the oldest and largest recorded heron nesting sites in Warwickshire and is a haven for other wildlife.

You could spend a week at Coombe Abbey! There are trails and walks to get you out and about in the 500-acres.

Have a wander around the formal gardens and arboretum, explore the Old Deer Park with stunning views of the Abbey and enjoy a sensory experience in the Wildflower Meadow.

There are two purpose-built play areas for the children – one at the visitor centre for the under 10s and a more challenging Climbing Forest for the over 8s with cargo nets and climbing posts. Bring a bucket and fishing net to discover an underwater world at the Pond Dipping Station, plus there are picnic benches and a Café in the park too.

Check the website for tickets, as there are different adventures at different prices.

FAQ's

What should I wear?

Wear sensible clothes for adventure. Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels. Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

Is there parking available?

Car parking is at Coombe Abbey Hotel. Prices are £3 for up to 8 hours & £8 from 8-24hrs.

Do I need to book in advance?

Pre-booking is essential. You can book online or by calling our booking team on 01603 895500. You can book on the day if there are spaces available, but phone signal and internet are unreliable in our forest locations, so we highly recommend doing this before you travel to avoid disappointment.

What are the height, weight and age restrictions and supervision ratios?

Supervision rules and participant restrictions vary depending on the adventure you choose and the Go Ape location. Check out our Locations page and click through to the site you wish to visit. Then when you click through on your chosen adventure you’ll find the information you need.

We had a fantastic time trying axe throwing as a birthday treat with family. Logan was a great teacher and even those of us who were less coordinated were landing the axe fairly consistently by the end. Such a fun activity!

My husband and I received axe throwing as a gift, it definitely wouldn’t be our first choice of activity but we had a great time !. Our party host Richard was friendly, he was very thorough in his explanations of our safety procedures. We expected to be throwing axes for an hour which didn’t seem too much fun but there were several games to play which made the experience really fun, it amazing how competitive a grown up can get over a sticker !. The site itself was lovely, you could easily spend a few hours before or after your experience wandering around. We were really pleasantly surprised by this experience and would definitely recommend it.

My partner and I went to try Axe-throwing for the first time. The instructor Hariett was patient, informative and made sure we had a very fun time. Very inclusive environment and we felt comfortable to ask questions about technique. Definitely will come again!

Me, my husband and our 6yr old went not sure what to expect and we had the best time. The staff are all super friendly, the adventure plus course was really good for our 6yr old who was sooo excited throughout the whole experience. He also did the mini jeep laps & enjoyed the fact that he got to drive his own car. We will definitely be returning soon.

Amazing fun, if you are okay with heights it's a brilliant active adventure. It requires a basic level of fitness/health but you don't have to be an athlete. I laughed all the way round. Don't take yourself too seriously and you will have much fun. Back again but only my son got a go this time for a friends party, I was so jealous but so proud of him he is nearly 9 and he had so much fun. Whether was lovely too.
