Leave your busy life behind and escape to the trees in one of Britain’s largest remaining ancient forests. The outlook changes seasonally – during the summer you’ll be getting plenty of sun in the treetops, with winter visits giving a greater sense of height and the location.

Whether you’re looking for family fun, history, culture or just adventure – Wyre Forest has plenty to keep you all busy.

Take the kids over to the children’s play area and get them exploring the forest on the Zog activity trail.

Orienteering to see if they can find the markers hidden deep in the wood.

Get out and about in the forest. There are three waymarked walking trails and you can bring or hire bikes. Cyclists love this area for the challenging hills and the meandering roads. Head over to the River Severn for some canoeing and kayaking, and while sticking with the water theme you can also try your hand at both coarse and fly fishing.

Feeling peckish? Visit the forest café for a drink and refreshments.

Check the website for tickets, as there are different adventures at different prices.

My 6 year old grandson, daughter & son in law had a great time up in the trees. Staff were brilliant, safety is taken seriously. Plenty to do with my younger granddaughter while they were having fun.

Tried Go Ape for the first time recently and was very impressed! I had not been before, but have been to high ropes and always enjoyed the experience. I must say that go ape is miles above normal high ropes experiences. It is much more independent and much more advanced- be ready for a workout! But really enjoyed how much more difficult it was than normal high ropes. they have lots of different sites which makes for a varied and exciting experience. I was also very impressed with the staff, they were all very friendly and supportive. I have unfortunately forgotten his name but the man who helped us (this was the 8th August we came) was really joyful and we all had a good laugh with him in the training. Whilst there is a lot more independence you still feel completely at ease and safe on the equipment due to the training and that you are constantly attached. It is very high though, so not for anyone who is afraid of heights! Couldn’t recommend more :)

We love go ape and are frequent visitors to Wyre Forest making the most of the fantastic value for money on the annual passes. The team, no matter the weather are always amazing and engaging to make the activities fun! Giving help, support, reassurance and encouragement where needed. As well as suggesting ideas and ways to make the activities more challenging if needed! On today’s visit we were joined by someone who had not completed an activity like this before and was apprehensive. As usual the team we’re fantastically helpful and supportive and managed to build confidence step by step to be able to complete loop one of tree top adventure including the zip line! Without the amazing staff I don’t think this would have been achieved! A special mention to Libby and Ali for being amazing today! Libby accompanied around the course offering reassurance and talking through each step to allow confidence to do the challenges. And then when they reached the zip line both took the time to demonstrate and talk through each step to reassure, as well as being patient when nerves were over taking to allow a step back to be taken then try again. All the team deserve recognition, but after today’s visit Libby and Ali went above and beyond and deserve extra recognition for being amazing caring people.

This was an excellent first-time adventure with Go Ape, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and supportive. The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and equipped with all the necessary facilities.

What an awesome experience! Amazing friendly staff and challenging tree top obstacles. We took our 10 year old to the after dark experience and she blew me away with how well she handled the course. It’s a great bang for your buck. If you’ve got a party coming up where you want to earn your drinks afterwards, get on it!
