Service was impeccable, staff were lovely and helpful. Great location with two underground stations within 5 min walk . Loads of restaurants close by and we'll known chains if you aren't feeling adventurous or I would recommend CERU around the corner, mezzanine style, delicious food. Right across the road from Hyde Park, perfect for a nice walk in the morning.

This is a grand hotel. Impeccable service. Very helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Rooms are very quiet. Bed are grand and rooms adequate. Location is fabulous, as it sits across from Hyde Park. Two tube stops nearby, only a few steps from the hotel entrance. Restaurants within two blocks provide varied menus, which is good since restaurant at the hotel has a limited menu and subpar service. Highly recommended overall.

For my travel needs this hotel was not an ideal choice. Here's why: Good: - Perfect location, literally has a subway stop inside the building - Friendly staff, trying their best - Omelette was good - Bathroom was good - Very nice cafe in front Not good: - Hotel is dated and it shows. Room smelled very bad of mold. - Had to take the stairs every time, because the elevator (just one available) is always blocked or slow. - Room lock was old and slightly disjointed, so needed several attempts every time - Isolation is bad, so the room is very noisy, and roadside noise is present. - Bad breakfast area. The hotel has a wonderful cafe in the front, but breakfast is served in a back room. You literally see the nice area but are refused entry. When I asked if I could also sit in the restaurant (again same name, just the back room) this was refused. The restaurant was entirely empty. - No executive lounge - Bad coffee - Choices for breakfast are only average - Staff not well trained, so mistakes in basic processes happen. E.g. late checkout at 2pm wasn't possible, despite me having the status. No problem, can happen. But then refusing the in-house guest discount for the cafe in that time period was just a rookie mistake, offending a guest unnecessarily. Similar communication mistakes were common. - No gym and fitness area. (But you can run in fantastic hyde park) - Charging a deposit for umbrellas... Recommendations: I am a long-time and very loyal Hilton customer and this place is not up to Hilton standard despite being on the expensive side. But most are easy fixes: - Sign up with the nearby Gym for a guest pass or with the two Hilton chain hotels down the road for use of their gym - Open up the front restaurant area for all hotel guests, including those with breakfast buffet - Stop things like umbrella deposits, especially if you deal with gold or diamond members - Buy a new set of coffee machines and get more options than just semi-skimmed cold milk... Overall - the Hilton Tower Bridge is a better alternative when you come to London and are not fixed to Hyde park as a location.

This is a convenient hotel right opposite to Hyde Park in London. While the hotel is older with limited facilities, it does have an interesting dome suite at the top of the building. It features a panaramic view of Hyde Park and London skyline. It doesn't have a fitness facility nor a lounge, but does have a couple of nice restaurants and a bunch of coffee shops next door. While the infrastructure of the hotel is on the older side, it does have charm and location.
