Absolutely loved my stay at Malmaison Oxford! The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. Great location, excellent food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Oxford!

We stayed in a club cell room. Worth every penny. Best to go mid week for better rates if you can. Location is excellent. Paid valet parking was actually a plus for us. I should also mention that the room service was excellent, and the steaks cooked to perfection! Very cool experience.

We stayed a couple of weeks ago for 2 nights. Personally, as beautiful as it looks I do think it is lacking in some areas. The room wasn't as clean as I expected, skirting boards was dusty and so was the tea tray, there was also marks on the carpet and very dirty around the carpet edges, it was lacking a good hoover with the pipe around the edges of the room. In the bathroom the cupboard door behind the toilet kept coming open exposing all the pipe work, a bit dangerous if you didn't realise the door had come open and stood up from using the toilet! The lighting was also poor in the room and didn't quite make sense, for example, if you wanted the desk lamp on you had to turn it on by the bed?! The aircon/heating is a nice touch, however this kept turning off so we would come back to our room and it was freezing or we would wake in the night and morning cold. We used the onsite parking, checked in and then she said we needed to pay after I had put everything away. I paid then carried on with our break as normal. On check out they said we had only been charged for night so needed to take payment again! No problem, I tapped my card he said all was fine. We went to wait for the car for him to shout across "your card has declined!" A little embarrassing in a lobby full of people! What he should of said was "could you come back and pop your pin in" being as that is what was required! I certainly did not find that professional! On a positive note, the bed, pillows and quilt was very nice and comfortable

I stayed here whilst attending an event with my wife, the front of house staff were amazing, very friendly and chatty. The food we ordered to the room was also delicious, would recommend the restaurant! Unfortunately though the room was sub-par, quite shabby with trim broken off the skirting boards, the seat & table were both tattered & damaged, the shower screen wasn't fully attached at the top, and lastly the bathroom smelt like urine. We had purposely not booked a cell room as I didn't like the idea, however we were "Upgraded" for free, totally not worth it. If we weren't in such a rush to get to our event I would have asked to change rooms, but unfortunately this was not possible due to time constraints. All in, great location for a quick stay but unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Stayed for 2 nights as a birthday present from my husband. Starting with the positives, the hotel overall is very cool and unique. The staff are pleasant enough, but the young lad that worked behind the bar this weekend was particularly great. Now to the negatives. The hotel is extremely overpriced. Rooms are basic, parking and breakfast are both extra. Our car was moved 4 separate times during our 2 night stay. There were building works going on which we were not told about which took up some of the car park and caused chaos for those trying to come and go - the works were also going on right outside our window so we had to keep the shutters closed the entire time and be woken up early both mornings from the noise. Our room was also next to a stairwell which was being used through all hours of the night so a restful sleep was out of the question. In our particular room, the mirror was dirty and rusted and the bath was literally crumbling. TLDR; overpriced, noisy and needs some TLC.
