Is there on-site parking?

We have 62 parking spaces available on-site. Access to the car park can be made from Porchester terrace just behind the hotel and costs £5 for up to 2 hours, £12.50 for up to 5 hours, £18 for up to 12 hours and £35 for up to 24 hours.

There is Fast & free unlimited Wi-Fi access available throughout the hotel.

What’s the closest train station?

Paddington rail and underground station is approximately 0.5 miles (15 minute walk) from the hotel. There are also 3 other local underground stations nearby: Lancaster Gate, Queensway and Bayswater.

What are your check-in/ out times?

Check-in time is from 3 pm onwards. If you would like to arrange for an earlier check-in time please mention this at the time of booking, a fee may apply. Otherwise, you can store your luggage at the reception and explore the sights until your room is ready. Check-out time is 11 am. If you would like to arrange for a later checkout time, please mention this at the time of booking, a fee may apply.

The Thistle Kensington Garden hotel has been the perfect choice for our 7 days holiday in London. Highly recommended. Excellent location, very clean and comfortable rooms. Kindest and most efficient staff in every department. Thank you all for the wonderful stay, we will definitely return soon!!

We had a pleasant stay at Thistle Hotel Hyde Park Kensington Gardens. Hassan at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made a great first impression. The room was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for a short stay. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of food, and we enjoyed the quality overall. However, we did notice that some of the cups at the coffee machine appeared to have coffee residue even after being washed, which could be improved. One big plus is the convenience of having a market located right under the hotel in the petrol station—perfect for quick snacks or essentials. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel to others visiting the area.

Excellent location since it's a walkable distance to Bayswater station and Queensway station which you can use to basically travel to anywhere in London. It is right next to Hyde Park which was one of my favourite places for our trip and an absolutely amazing park. Great room. The only problem I had which makes it not absolutely perfect was that we upgraded to the breakfast package upon arrival for the entire week we stayed, yet on majority of the mornings we were told we did not have the breakfast package. It was fine when we told them we had paid for it but it was repeated the days after. This is really not a big thing and should not discourage to pick this hotel because I highly recommend you should. It's just something that would have made the visit better for the customer.

Excellent location opposite Hyde Park and plenty of places to eat near by. The staff were amazing very friendly and helpful. The room was small be fine for a long weekend and the AC worked perfectly. There are three carparks to the rear that can be booked via Justpark. The one directly behind to he building is open air, there are two under the building, one has a height restriction of 1.8 meters but there are areas lower due to pipe work on the roof, the second underground one has more height and space.

We stayed at the Thistle Kensington overnight for our anniversary, right from our very first interaction, the staff were really friendly and helpful. We arrived 3 hours before check in, to ask if they would mind us leaving our bags, they said our room was actually ready now and we could check in early! Which was amazing, as we weren’t expecting this! The room was a standard double, but it was lovely, really clean and a very comfy bed, TV, everything we needed and a nice touch with some glass bottles of water, kettle tea coffee etc. We paid extra (£15 each) for the morning buffet breakfast, it was really busy when we arrived down there in the morning, there was a decent amount of choice, though I wouldn’t say it was anything special, it was still nice. Overall a great experience and special mention to how helpful and friendly the staff were; thank you! Would stay again!
