What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 3pm, and check out is by 11am on the day of departure.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Early or late check out isn’t always available. Please contact your Malmaison hotel directly in advance and they will do their best. It's normally not a problem, but we can't guarantee.

Can we get an extra bed or cot in our room?

Extra beds can be booked in advance at an additional £30. Not all room types can accommodate extra beds, so please be aware that you may need to upgrade to a larger room. Cots are supplied free of charge. Any cots or extra beds must be booked in advance of arrival.

Which rooms are accessible and how can I book them?

Can I bring my pet?

We stayed at Malmaison Edinburgh City at St. Andrew Square for 5 nights and overall had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location - right in the heart of the city with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to come back to after exploring Edinburgh. The only drawback was the accessibility with a stroller, as there are stairs leading to the main entrance which made it a bit less convenient. However, aside from that, everything else exceeded expectations. A stylish and comfortable hotel with great service - would happily stay again.

What a fabulous stay; my room was gorgeous (the whole hotel is beautifully decorated). It is so centrally located, and yet so quiet. But what really makes it stand apart is the staff, they are so kind and helpful--from the woman at the desk who walked me outside to show me where the tram for the airport stops to the bartender who wanted to make sure I was on the right street for my Uber pick up, he also came outside to be helpful. I will be back the next time I am in Edinburgh. The only thing I wish is that they would offer vegan options in their menu because as it was I was not able to eat there. They have one vegetarian dish that they can modify to make vegan but we decided to go to a place where we would have more options.

We had a wonderful stay at Malmaison. I don't think you can beat the location! Two blocks from Princes Street with incredible dining options within half a block. Perfect place to stay if you want to explore Edinburgh. Service was great too. Anytime we asked for anything, it was delivered within 15-20 min. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The only reason I rated the rooms 4/5 stars is because the theme/design of the decor was not perfectly aligned with my taste. The dim lighting fit well with the chic fashionable aesthetic but I, personally, would have preferred more pragmatic lighting. That is merely personal taste though. We had a great stay.

Reception staff were fantastic. Very professional. As we had a issue and they sorted it pronto. Lovely room, was good value when I booked considering it was during the festival. And is in a great location. Just be wary when booking you choose the correct hotel as there is two in Edinburgh. The other is in Leith. Which I have never stayed at.

We loved this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Air Conditioning was nice and worked well. I noticed some reviews mentioned the lifts being for every other floor. This is because it is a historical building and had to be installed that way and everything is on a hill. The history behind the hotel and Edinburg is fascinating. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was delicious and the host was more than helpful and found it to be a pleasant experience.
