What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 3pm, and check out is by 11am on the day of departure.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Early or late check out isn’t always available. Please contact your Malmaison hotel directly in advance and they will do their best. It's normally not a problem, but we can't guarantee.

Can we get an extra bed or cot in our room?

Extra beds can be booked in advance at an additional £30. Not all room types can accommodate extra beds, so please be aware that you may need to upgrade to a larger room. Cots are supplied free of charge. Any cots or extra beds must be booked in advance of arrival.

Which rooms are accessible and how can I book them?

The only negative here is parking. Park in the St Andrew Quarter Car park, the hotel gives a hefty discount. The people at the Malmaison are lovely and helpful. Even the "Cosy" bedrooms are spacious with great beds, smart bathrooms and useful things like a safe, bottles of water, a kettle with a frequently replenished supply of warm drinks, aircon etc. I didn't have dinner but breakfast is spot on. The hotel is quiet but only 100 yards from Princes Street.

We stayed at Malmaison Edinburgh City at St. Andrew Square for 5 nights and overall had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location - right in the heart of the city with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to come back to after exploring Edinburgh. The only drawback was the accessibility with a stroller, as there are stairs leading to the main entrance which made it a bit less convenient. However, aside from that, everything else exceeded expectations. A stylish and comfortable hotel with great service - would happily stay again.

We went for afternoon tea yesterday at 1:00 PM, and I must say the service was beyond five stars! The team provided such a wonderful, professional, and warm experience that we’ll definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family. I’m already considering a private hire for December. It’s a beautiful venue, and we’ll most certainly be back. Thank you for the exceptional service!

Staying at Malmaison was a great experience. Arriving from a red eye at 6:30am, we weren't expecting to be able to get into a room until later that afternoon but they were able to upgrade us when we arrived for only £20! The room was spacious and modern with a moody flair. Would definitely recommend the stay there.

After recently enjoying afternoon tea, I booked for Sunday lunch. On arrival, the tables were cluttered with plates and glasses. After 2 hours, only 1 table was cleaned. The appetisers were not at all appetising. The prawn cocktails were all finished and I had to ask for one. My sirloin of beef was lovely but came only with cabbage and roast potatoes.. Apparently there was no cauliflower or carrots available on Sunday. No alternative was offered and no apolgies. Really dissapointed. There was obviously no management present as everything was chaos....
