What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 3pm, and check out is by 11am on the day of departure.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Early or late check out isn’t always available. Please contact your Malmaison hotel directly in advance and they will do their best. It's normally not a problem, but we can't guarantee.

Can we get an extra bed or cot in our room?

Extra beds can be booked in advance at an additional £30. Not all room types can accommodate extra beds, so please be aware that you may need to upgrade to a larger room. Cots are supplied free of charge. Any cots or extra beds must be booked in advance of arrival.

Which rooms are accessible and how can I book them?

I would highly recommend this hotel! Staff is so so friendly and helpful. The hotel location is perfect as it’s in a quieter area in the heart of the city. All of Edinburghs gems are within walking distance. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I would come back in a heart beat.

We loved this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Air Conditioning was nice and worked well. I noticed some reviews mentioned the lifts being for every other floor. This is because it is a historical building and had to be installed that way and everything is on a hill. The history behind the hotel and Edinburg is fascinating. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was delicious and the host was more than helpful and found it to be a pleasant experience.

Fantastic place to stay, bit on the pricey side but so worth it. We got our room upgraded, paid for a slight upgrade but they actually upgraded us to a suite which we were grateful for as it was our anniversary. Great little amenities all around, beautiful rooms and views. Staff are great too and extremely lovely and helpful!

Great service at the start while checking in with Fraser - this sets the tone of the stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast the next day was the cherry on top. Visiting from America but will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Edinburgh.

I stayed here for a week. The hotel was nicely furnished, very modern looking. The lighting was darker than I was used to but aside from the that no complaints. Plenty of security doors each floor required you to use your key to gain access. Laundry was quick and easy they returned the close when they said they would. Food in the restaurants below was great service was exceptional absolutely no complaints. The location for a tourist is perfect close restaurants for eating, but be sure to make reservations. There's a hop on, hop off bus tour half a block in front of the hotel. The park which I had a view of was amazing if you're in the area stay here it was a wonderful motel.
