We were greeted and treated so well by the staff at this hotel. Our room was satisfactory and the restaurant served a delicious meal (pie of the day and mash). There was heating in the room which was a welcome relief with temperatures dropping as we approach winter. Great free car park as well. Thank you Nial for your warm service!

We had to wait for our rooms to become available (not a problem as we had access to the bar). The rooms were all fine, though the pillows didn't really match the firmness of the mattress (they are too soft while the mattress is quite firm). It seems unusual that there is no lift (yes, there are only two floors, though it reduces accessibility) and that the rooms have no air conditioning. It is also odd that the room cleaning services are located close to the stairs, meaning you get to walk around the carts each morning. All this said, I am happy with how straight forward it is to access, just minutes off the M4, and that parking is available free. I was surprised that free welcome drinks for Silver members only stretches to one room from the booking instead of covering all guests on the booking.

My friends and I booked the hotel as it was central for our short golfing trip. The hotel afforded free parking, clean & tidy rooms and a great breakfast to kickstart a day of golf. We also used the restaurant for dinner and the menu provided enough decent choices and the bottles of wine were good quality. We have stayed here before and shall do again.

Just completed a 10-day stay for business. Some pros and cons to share for those considering a stay: PROS: - Excellent staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely the highlight - Fantastic restaurant & bar - Quiet and peaceful location - Clean (there was a “checker” who stopped by to ensure the room was cleaned to my satisfaction) CONS: - No air conditioning or air circulation in guest rooms. Absolutely unacceptable - especially in the summer. There was a small table fan but that did not help. I had to request a bucket of ice from staff as I started to feel ill - Toilet did not flush properly - had to request maintenance to fix it - Odd layout of sockets. No sockets located by bed / nightstands - Room decor could use an upgrade and hallway floors creaked loudly - Hotel lacked conveniences (vending machines are needed in lobby area) Employee at bar told me all they had for soda was lemonade (aka - lemon-lime) and no other soda. Yet I could order Pepsi from room service? Due to lack of air conditioning, it’s doubtful I would stay here again. Lovely staff though.

The worst place I have ever stayed. I booked through Nectar and it was a complete waste of money and my points. I have complained to Nectar and they could not care less. Despite over ten emails and numerous calls, they have zero customer care. Nectar put in a claim and the hotel ignored all their requests to reply. Nectar then wash their hands of the matter, blaming the hotel's lack of response and stating they can offer nothing back. The Hotel have absolutely no customer care or service, the room I stayed in was disgusting. It had severe stains all over the floors, food still on the carpet near the kettle and table area, Coffee or Tea stains over the furniture, broken fixtures in the bathroom; one of which fell off in the night making a rather loud bang. The filthiest bathroom I have ever seen in any hotel. A total waste of money and the most ignorant aftercare service of any hotel I have ever encountered. Do not waste your money, there are so many others near by. They do not care about their customers and you will never get any refund or even a phone call back.
