Mornington Hotel is a Best Western Hotel in London, and is ideally located in the heart of London city centre, within walking distance of Lancaster Gate tube station and right opposite Hyde Park. Were also within easy reach of all of London’s best areas for shopping and entertainment, so you really can see London in style!

This hotel really is about as regal as you can get, but unlike nearby Buck House, the Best Western Mornington Hotel is located in the heart of London’s bright lights (not that you’d know it, with the luxurious floor-length drapes that adorn every room). As hotels go, its hard to find a more elegant place to stay. As well as the regal 19th Century pillars (a mark of decadence both then and now), you’ll find a range of Londons highlights on your doorstep.

The hotel in London city centre is now even more appealing too, having just undergone a complete refurbishment! Architects have cleverly designed a new look for the hotel to enhance its traditional features while bringing its wonderful accommodation further into the 21st Century!

The West End is just around the corner, Paddington mainline station/Heathrow Express is a 5 minute walk away, and a number of tempting restaurants can be found in the time it takes to nibble on a Michelin-starred hors doeuvre. WiFi access is provided free of charge too, which makes it even more satisfying to tell your friends back home all about the wonderful time you are having!

We was traveling to see Oasis at Wembley but wanted a hotel that was more central so we could do some sight seeing... This hotel was the perfect location, across from Hyde Park and near two tube stations. The hotel and room were clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and breakfast offered a great variety to start the day with too. We would definitely book again!

Great stay! Clean comfortable room. Friendly service. Location is a short 2 block walk to the Lancaster Gate Underground and a 10 minute walk to Paddington Station. Breakfast was good including cooked to order eggs. Love the library lobby. Gym had treadmills. WiFi kept cutting in and out but we talked to the front desk and they gave us an alternate login that worked better in our room.

Great location near Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate tube station. Nice property with tasteful interiors. Waters, Fizzy drinks and chocolate provided as well as tea and coffee making. We had an executive suite, not quite what I was expecting for what we paid ( was quite small and window was internal on to ventilation pipes). The bathroom had a raised floor that made the shower only suitable for very short people! It was fine for a short two night stay.

This hotel has great location, close to the Lancaster Gate underground station and within a walking distance from the Paddington station. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was spacious with a couch and a bathtub. There was AC as well. There were some minor omissions such as not working safe or tissues in the bathroom not re-filled; however, I didn't bring it up to the hotel staff during the stay and I am sure that if I did it would be addressed. Overall location + spacious room + AC + helpful staff made it a good choice!

As a Diamond Select member, I had high expectations for my stay here, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of my worst Best Western experiences so far. The staff were not outright unfriendly, but they came across as extremely uninterested and disengaged. There was no warmth or welcoming attitude whatsoever. At a minimum, you’d expect a “good morning” from the front desk when you’re getting water in the morning—but even that felt too much to ask. The hotel itself is clearly outdated and has lost any charm it might once have had. Everything looks tired, patched up, or in visible disrepair. I stay at around 30 different Best Western hotels every year, and none have been in such poor condition as this one. It’s really disappointing. I honestly cannot understand the many positive reviews this property has received—just looking at the photos should tell the real story. Yes, the exterior is currently being renovated, which may be a good sign for the future, but as of right now, my recommendation is simple: avoid this hotel.
