The National Gallery in London is an extraordinary place where centuries of European art come together in a calm and inspiring atmosphere. Founded in 1824 and located in Trafalgar Square, the museum houses masterpieces by artists such as Van Gogh, da Vinci, Turner, and Rembrandt. The layout is easy to follow, the lighting beautifully highlights the paintings, and entry is free, making it accessible to everyone. Walking through its rooms feels like traveling across time and artistic movements. A must-visit cultural landmark for anyone who appreciates history, creativity, and timeless beauty in the heart of London. Recommending

The world’s greatest painting gallery. All of the great masters are here, represented most often by a stone cold masterpiece—Caravaggio’s Supper at Emmaus, Titian’s Poesie, Veronese’s Darius Before Alexander, Parmigianino’s Vision of St Jerome, del Piombo’s Lazarus… it just goes on and on and on, in the best possible way. Equally as impressive as the paintings is the ease in which everyone waltzes in and out of the museum, which is always free. The relaxed, casual, open and friendly atmosphere sets it apart from most other museums—it feels like you’re wandering about a giant living room filled with centuries of exquisite art. The recent rehang of the paintings is a smashing success, and the newly refurbished Sainsbury Wing now offers more space and updated facilities. An unparalleled immersive experience in the river of European painting. Unmissable.

The National Gallery is one of the most impressive museums in London and an absolute must for anyone who appreciates art, history or culture. The collection is incredible, with world-famous masterpieces that you’ve seen in books and online, but experiencing them in person is on a completely different level. Seeing works like Van Gogh, Monet and so many iconic paintings up close makes the visit feel truly special. The museum is well organized, easy to navigate and free to enter, which makes it even better. It’s important that you book your ticket online in advance, because it’s one of the most famous and touristic museums in the city. It’s a perfect place to spend a few hours exploring, slowing down and really taking in the art, especially if you enjoy meaningful experiences while traveling. Loved it so much and couldn’t recommend more. 10/10 experience, for sure!

The National Gallery was one of my favorite places in London! As an artist and history enthusiast, I was very pleased with the varied collection of pieces in this museum. From Van Gogh to Rembrandt, this space has something for everyone! I visited on a Sunday two and a half hours before closing time, and while it was busy, there were no entry lines and the exhibitions were very easy to walk through. Collections were divided by time period and movement, making it easy to understand even for people who are not familiar with art history. All the pieces were perfectly labeled and displayed, portraying the cleanliness and professionalism of the organization. The staff was very friendly, and the guards kept everything in order without being rude or disrespectful. When closing time was approaching (around 15 to 10 minutes before), everyone was asked to walk towards the main entrance, getting everyone out of the establishment by 6:00pm on the dot. On another hand, I was very surprised that the entrance was free for everyone, given that I have visited poorer museums that I have had to pay a good amount of money for. Overall, I loved this museum and will definitely come back when I visit London again!

Amazing experience at The National Gallery! Visited The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square and it was absolutely fantastic. The collection is world-class — from iconic masterpieces by Van Gogh, Da Vinci, and Turner to lesser-known gems that are equally captivating. The galleries are well laid-out and easy to navigate, with clear information on each piece. I appreciated the free admission, which makes this incredible museum accessible to everyone. The lighting and display really showcase the art beautifully, and there are plenty of benches to sit and absorb the atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions. If you love art or just want to spend a few hours surrounded by beauty and history, this is a must-visit in London! Would definitely recommend to friends and family — unforgettable experience! 🎨👏
