If you’re looking for a Japanese restaurant in London, then Sexy Fish is your next stop. Located in the heart of Mayfair, this Asian inspired restaurant offers sushi to steak with some seafood dishes in-between.

Sexy Fish is an Asian restaurant and bar located on the corner of Berkeley Square, Mayfair, serving Japanese-inspired sushi, sashimi, seafood, fish, and meat cooked on a Robata grill.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and decorated with art by Damien Hirst, Frank Gehry and Michael Roberts, the look and feel is mid-century glamour and opulence. The restaurant and bar is open seven days a week. Their private dining space, The Coral Room, is located on the lower ground floor and houses two of the largest live coral reef tanks in the world.

The bar, holds the world’s biggest Japanese whisky collection, as well as offering a drinks menu featuring both classic and inventive cocktails.

Discover their exquisite lunch menus and indulge in a new lunch experience at Sexy Fish, curated by their Chef Director, Bjoern Weissgerber, capturing the essence of Sexy Fish’s culinary excellence.

Explore an array of new dishes on the £32 two-course set menu, before discovering the delights of the Treats of the Sea box or the interactive Zen Garden dessert, available Monday to Saturday, 12pm – 4pm.

Visited Sexy Fish today and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food is on a high level, from the perfectly cooked steak with herb butter, to the buttery seabass with that beautiful foamy sauce, through to the nigiri topped with caviar and the colourful sushi rolls. Everything was fresh, balanced and full of flavour. We finished with doughnuts and a rich chocolate dessert, both absolutely spot on and a great way to end the meal. The restaurant itself is stunning – dramatic mermaid art, a gorgeous bar with an incredible whisky selection and that iconic mermaid statue and neon lights give the place a real “wow” factor. Service was friendly, attentive and well-timed without being intrusive. Ismail was great! Overall, a flawless 5-star experience & highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back.

Sexy Fish’s Sunday brunch offers great food in a stylish setting. The sushi is fresh and well made, and the overall selection is high quality. It’s definitely expensive, and prices have gone up recently, which makes it less appealing for a regular visit. Still, the environment is cool and impressive, making it a good choice for a special occasion rather than a casual brunch. Service is professional and the presentation is excellent, though you’re paying as much for the atmosphere as for the food. Worth visiting once for the experience, but not something to do every weekend.

Excellent service, nothing was too much for them. They took time to go through the menu and recommend things based on the flavours I said I liked. The price was high, but it’s Mayfair so I expected that and the quality matched. A really great experience and I’ll be sure to return back. The lunch menu is a total steal btw :)

This place is worth the hype. We were greeted by staff warmly. The ambience was stunning and the female DJ was a nice touch. We waited almost 40min to be seated and the manager compensated us for the inconvenience. People were well dressed. Each plate was expertly curated. Overall it was worth the $350 we spent for 2 guests.

Sexy Fish is absolutely stunning. The décor is bold, artistic, and contemporary. Service was truly immaculate, with every staff member going out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect. They even refolded our napkins each time we stepped away, giving the experience a refined, high-end touch. The type of attention you expect for a high end restaurant. A special highlight was the young woman from Suceava, Romania, who helped us throughout the evening. She was vibrant, warm, and genuinely fun—her energy made our night even better. Our sommelier and the rest of the team were equally attentive, and everyone who approached our table made us feel completely cared for. The food was excellent—beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty. We enjoyed every dish. Our only complaint is the price. While the experience is exceptional, it’s extremely expensive, and the cost is something to be aware of. Overall, we loved our night at Sexy Fish: remarkable service, fantastic food, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere—just be prepared for a very high price tag.
