One of Wales’ most popular all-weather family attractions in Cardiff, Techniquest now caters for children and adults of all ages. As you enter, you’ll discover the Science Capital, which has five different zones that focus on space, the environment, chemistry, world issues and biomedical science.
Set on the waterfront in the heart of Cardiff Bay, Techniquest has over 100 hands-on exhibits that let you experience science, technology, engineering and maths in a fun and exciting way.
Alongside these, you’ll find a collection of original, classic Techniquest exhibits, on the Retro side of the building. This is a great space to head to if you’ve younger children in your party: the water area, giant piano and ant-watching are particular favourites.
Children aged between three and six can let their imaginations run wild in the new Role Play Area that’s back up on the first floor: just head up the stairs behind the robot arm, near the picnic area.
And that’s not all. There are live science shows in the auditorium; a super-snug 360° Planetarium and the KLA Lab to experience workshops in throughout the year.
Looking for something to do during half term holidays or some days out in Cardiff with the family, then Techniquest in Cardiff Bay is the best way the keep all the family entertained.
Adults and children alike will enjoy one of the best attractions in Cardiff and check out the what’s on calendar, to see what’s running on the date you plan to visit, and choose to ‘add on’ that experience when you book your general admission tickets.
