What makes Ivy particularly great is its location. If you take a tour of Tower Bridge, you descend from the bridge right next to a souvenir shop - and Ivy is just thirty meters away. It is a casually styled London restaurant that, in my view, is largely geared towards tourists visiting the bridge. The menu offers a wide range of options - from fish and chips to perfectly seared salmon. There is a solid wine list; the beer selection, however, is rather limited. Of course, English tea is available - served beautifully in a gleaming teapot. Ivy has an impressive outdoor terrace, and overall, the restaurant is quite spacious. At lunchtime, it's fully booked, so it is best either to reserve a table or arrive at least half an hour before the peak hour. As for the food, everything was delicious. It is one of those places where you are confident you have ordered exactly what you wanted (and everyone who orders here seems to feel the same! -) When the restaurant is full, it can get quite noisy. But, as I mentioned in another review, it’s better to see this as part of the ambience, the atmosphere, and a touch of local character. Once you do, the noise becomes more pleasant! -) A wonderful restaurant right at the exit of The Tower Bridge. Diverse menu, polite waiters, and quite nice interior.

We visited The Ivy for afternoon tea and really enjoyed the experience. The portion size was generous and there was a lovely selection overall. We especially liked the sandwiches, and the chicken truffle sandwich in particular was our favourite. The dessert and pastry selection was quite large, so it’s perfect if you have a sweet tooth. Personally, we would have loved a few more sandwiches, just because they were so good, but that’s just preference. It’s a great place to experience afternoon tea, especially if it’s your first time. The atmosphere is elegant but still relaxed, and it made the whole visit feel special.

I had a wonderful experience at Ivy! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special mention goes to our waitress, Georgia, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly taken care of. Her recommendations were spot on, and she added such a personal touch to our dining experience. Highly recommend Ivy for anyone looking for great food paired with outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Fabulous setting amid a Christmassy London and Tower Bridge. This must be one of the most amazing locations for a restaurant. It definitely has a WOW factor. The service was good for the most part but they are very particular about their, I suppose, silver service with one of our party being taken to task for assisting the otherwise lovely server. It was probably well meant but struck a sour note. That and disappearing with my "incorrect main course knife" and not bringing another back did lose a star. I did eventually get someone's attention for another one! Put all that aside and it was a wonderful evening. The food is excellent. My burger was excellent, very tasty. My chocolate bombe was also incredible, with a lovely ceremonial pouring of the hot sauce. The food isn't very expensive as such but it does add up. We split the bill between us and including service charge it was £64 each. That included 3 non alcoholic cocktails and a bottle of wine between us. There was a set Christmas menu for £60 which one person opted for, a good option if you intend having 3 courses. The atmosphere was lovely, full of Christmas cheer and bonhomie. I think I'd like to go back off-season and enjoy another meal.

Came today for the festive menu, well what can I not say the turkey was fatty and dry and the whole plate barely Luke warm , the pudding which I had Stilton with biscuits was hard a softer cheese would of been more palatable. Very over priced for the quality of food. I’ve had a private dining experience here but this time was very let down.
