The View from The Shard takes you on a multi-sensory journey 244 meters (800 feet) above London on the tallest building in Western Europe. One of London’s biggest attractions will take you new heights with an unforgettable experience.
You’ll experience an unforgettable 360-degree, 40-mile views over London city and beyond. Elevate your experience even further with a glass of champagne, free wi-fi for sharing your trip among the clouds. There’s no time restriction, so you can stay as long as you want.
Your trip will include, four separate lifts through different exhibition levels, two bars for you to have a drink, coffee, or tea while enjoying The View. Level 72 outdoor viewing gallery will give you the sounds and atmosphere from the city below and in the summertime you can relax in the Summer Garden, the highest garden in London!

Please remember
- Handheld cameras for personal use are allowed
- Large bags, tripods, rucksacks, and other large equipment are not allowed and there is no storeroom available (the nearest baggage storage company is located at Waterloo station)
- There is no cloakroom facility for bags, however, folded pushchairs can be left in the designated area in the booking hall for free at your own risk (bags and coats cannot be left with them)
- The glass of champagne is only available for those aged 18 and above
- Infants aged 0 to 2 years do not need a ticket and can enter for free
- VIEW GUARANTEE: You’ll be walking on air amongst the clouds, but if they spoil your view, you can return for free with the View Guarantee. In the case of bad weather, all guests are offered a View Guarantee with every ticket. If you cannot see at least three of the following five landmarks – The London Eye, 20 Fenchurch Street, Tower Bridge, One Canada Square, or St Paul’s Cathedral – on the day of your visit, you can return within 3 months for free. Staff at the ticket desk will let you know on the day if the Visibility Guarantee has been authorized and will arrange your return ticket.

a week agoVisiting The Shard was an unforgettable experience. From the moment you arrive, everything feels world-class and well organised. The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking London stretches endlessly in every direction, and seeing iconic landmarks from such height is truly magical, especially at sunset. The glass walls make you feel like you’re floating above the city, and the atmosphere is calm, elegant, and inspiring. Staff were professional and welcoming, and the overall experience felt worth every moment. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this is a must-visit place to truly appreciate the beauty of London from above. Highly recommended!

a month agoWent to The Shard late afternoon, no queue at all and paid around £60 for two. Quick bag check and metal detector, then two smooth, fast lifts to the top. The views were absolutely incredible, and there’s even a bar up there! A bit windy but surrounded by glass. Overall, an amazing experience and well worth it.

a month agoWe went here for my birthday 🎂. My wife booked in advance the restaurant Hutong. The restaurant is on the 33rd floor with spectacular views over London. We had an amazing experience and the food was wonderful ❤️. What made our experience even better was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. We had special treatment from 2 very helpful staff, Patrycja and Rokesh. The 2 of these were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating to my wife and myself. I would highly recommend going to the Shard and especially the restaurant Hutong. As an extra special treat, talk with Patrycja as she has recently made up a wonderful poster of the buildings surrounding the Shard from an overhead view showing what is North, East, South, and West. We had a fabulous time and look forward to visiting the place again in the future. Thank you for a lovely evening with a great atmosphere.

Standing at 310 meters, it’s the tallest building in the UK, offering breathtaking 360° views of the city from its viewing decks on the 69th and 72nd floors. The modern glass design by architect Renzo Piano is a true masterpiece that perfectly captures London’s blend of history and innovation. The high-speed lift ride to the top was smooth and exciting, and once there, the panoramic views were incredible — I could see landmarks like Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, and the River Thames stretching for miles. Visitor Tips: It’s best to book tickets online in advance, especially for sunset visits. Try to go on a clear day for the best visibility, and don’t forget your camera. There are also fine dining options and a cocktail bar if you’d like to enjoy the skyline longer. How to Reach: The Shard is located at 32 London Bridge Street, London SE1 9SG, right next to London Bridge Station (Northern and Jubilee lines) and easily accessible by train or bus. Overall, The Shard offers an amazing way to see London from above — a must-visit attraction that combines spectacular views, modern design, and a touch of luxury.

At around 310 metres tall, it is the tallest building in the United Kingdom and a must see if you enjoy architecture, city views, or skyline photography. The classic tourist experience is The View from The Shard, the official observation area located on the upper levels, offering impressive 360 degree views over London and many of its famous landmarks. Tickets are quite expensive, usually around £30 per person, which may not appeal to everyone. A very useful tip is that you do not actually need to buy a sightseeing ticket to enjoy great views from inside The Shard. There are bars and restaurants within the building that allow access without paying the observation deck fee. Places like Aqua Shard on level 31 or the GŎNG bar on level 52 let you enjoy panoramic views simply by ordering a drink or food. This is a much smarter option if you want the experience without the high entry cost. Do note that drinks and meals in these venues are still expensive, and reservations are recommended, especially around sunset or on busy days. That said, you are paying for the view and the atmosphere, which makes it worthwhile for many visitors. Whether you choose the official viewing platform or opt for a bar visit instead, The Shard remains a must visit London landmark.
