A really easy experience, a great location within walking distance of New Street, with friendly staff. I was really impressed with the hot breakfast, it felt good quality and the offering was regularly serviced and replenished by staff throughout my time eating. My only negative is that l felt the carpet in the bedroom was showing signs of wear and tear.

No complaints. Our room was available ahead of the usual check in time which was great as we were slightly early. Our room was opposite the lift, which was an initial concern, but we couldn't hear any comings and goings. Very clean and decent size. Breakfast was ace and when our key card stopped working for some reason, they were quick to rectify. Would easily stay here again

Excellent service! They didn't have any accessible rooms listed on their website but they upgraded us to an accessible room when our room's TV wouldn't work! Wheelchair accessibility was pretty good. Loved the inclusion of a pull cord by the bed in the accessible room! The cleaners added a lovely personal touch!

My two sisters and I stayed here for the night after seeing Mary Poppins at Birmingham Hippodrome. We had one room with two double beds. Room was a good size, the beds were comfy and there was plenty of wardrobe space but no drawers. However, the door to the bathroom was a fully glazed patterned glass pane with the toilet to your right just as you enter. I'm no prude but none of us wished to be on show whilst on the loo. No privacy curtain/blind/window frosting (all of which are easy fixes), nothing. Not for us I'm afraid.

I checked in at Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre on 11 August 2025 and booked three rooms for my family. First, I want to highlight that the staff were very friendly and polite. However, upon entering the rooms, I was surprised to find that the air conditioning in all the rooms was not working. When I asked the reception staff, they confirmed that the AC was out of order, had not yet been repaired, and that they had no timeline for fixing it. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard, especially during warm weather. We were given no prior notice of this major problem, and no alternative solution was offered. The slow response and lack of urgency in addressing such a basic facility left us very uncomfortable throughout our stay. After just two nights, I had no choice but to leave and book another hotel. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel until it resolves these maintenance and communication issues. If management is reading this, I hope you take this feedback seriously—future guests deserve better.
