Fantastic hotel, really enjoyed our stay. Warm & welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely bar & set in a nice area. Room was a good size, but a little noisy early morning as we faces the road & the square, plus side was a fab view. Big shout out to Lois who checked us in, she could not have been more friendly & helpful. Cheers.

Visited Saint Paul’s House for the first time for an event; it’s a beautiful venue with a great atmosphere.. but what really made it outstanding was the staff. Ryan did a great job leading his team on what was a super busy night, ensuring a great customer experience. Ellie from reception was absolutely delightful, Abby was like Wonder Woman behind the bar, and Ben from the kitchen was fantastic — they all delivered outstanding customer service remaining positive and professional at every point. Ehsan is possibly one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Monique was super sweet, Cal was lovely, Becky and Elly from the bar were also wonderful, and Yacer was helpful and really polite. Levi and Dan at the doors were the nicest guys. It was clearly a very busy and probably stressful night for the staff, but every single one of them really made my night great. I will absolutely be returning.

A fantastic Chef’s Table experience from start to finish. The tasting course was excellent, and the wine pairing was a real highlight. The pianist playing throughout the evening was a lovely touch and created a wonderful atmosphere. Being given homemade chocolates to take home was such a thoughtful extra and they were delicious. An unforgettable evening, highly recommended!!

I stayed in Room 109 on March 7th for an event at this hotel and I so badly wanted to give this place a review as good as the event was, but unfortunately I have to be honest. Firstly, if you go on a weekend then be prepared for a potentially poor night’s sleep. There are sometimes nighttime events going on downstairs and in my case until about half past midnight there was thumping music coming from the ground floor clear enough for me to identify most of the tracks that were being played. I overheard people in the corridor complaining to each other about it, saying how they weren’t told about it when they booked (I wasn’t either) and someone else who was staying over for the same event as me was also suffering. Over breakfast we were both talking about how bad it was. The fact that nobody was warned about this before paying for their stays is really not acceptable - the event with the music surely must have been planned in advance? The windows are also old sash ones that let a lot of noise in, so if you’re at the front of the hotel like I was, expect to be disturbed by people spilling out onto the street as well. The bed I had wasn’t among the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel and I’m quite experienced with staying in hotels for events. While looking for something I dropped I also noticed a build up of dust behind it, and when I see something like this I then doubt how well the rooms are cleaned. I’ve given this hotel some credit for the attractive exterior and interior, nice food at breakfast and pleasant staff. But unfortunately there are just too many negatives to give more than two stars and I’d be inclined to look elsewhere if I ever have another event on at the same location. In particular, this place needs to decide whether it’s a hotel or a nightclub, because without better soundproofing it can’t be both.

Came for Sunday dinner. No nice atmosphere to welcome us I . The waiter seemed like he needed some basic customer service training. He didn’t know what drinks were included in the bottomless brunch(Sunday). They also couldn’t accommodate any mocktails/non alcoholic drinks for a customer who doesn’t drink alcohol. Took ages to take the drink orders and did not state it was for only 2 hours, until he said 10 minutes at the end it’s nearly finished. No pleasant “would you like any more”. 40 minutes it took to get his attention from 1:20 till 1:50 for another drink. I watched the one waiter make a gin rose, he mixed the syrup with the straw and then decided to lick the straw after then bin it. Yes he put a fresh one in but still vile to see. The pateé to start with was nice but the piece of Toast was rock hard that you couldn’t bite or cut into meaning we couldn’t eat it. We wanted deserts but wasn’t asked so decided to leave it as clearly they didn’t care. Also the bill wasn’t brought out to us meaning we had to pay at the bar ourselves. Just no nice atmosphere when we was there.
