City Gate Guest House

This was my first time booking at this property, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. I paid £30 for one night, which was excellent value for money. Late check-out was available at around £15 per hour, but Fatih at reception kindly offered it to me as a complimentary service, which I really appreciated. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and both the room and bathroom looked fresh and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially at reception, which made my stay even better. For the price, the quality of the room and service exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others looking for good value and great customer service.

Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. We had a studio. The room was big and clean. Only we found some hairs in the bed on the day of arrival. But we could clean that fast and things like that can happen. The bathroom was perfect. Ali was an amazing host. I showed up an hour before the actual incheck time. Ali let me check in early without paying the early check in fee. Amazing hospitality! Easy check in and easy check out. I would highly recommend this place. In the night it is very quiet and calm, so you have a good night rest. It is close to the tubes and bus stops. Maybe it is not the most beautiful location for the hotel, but still how the hotel is makes up for all of that! All of all it was a really nice stay and i would come back for another stay.

Room was spotless with no issues. Clean bathroom. Balcony with a great view. Location is ideal and very safe. Ali the host is a great guy, very welcoming. Will be back here when I’m next in London.

Stayed here for two nights, had a wonderful stay. It's about a 10 minute walk to either of the closest Tube stations, which is very convenient. The staff were absolutely lovely, and walked us through everything very quickly. The bathroom being shared is a slight downside for me, but it's not like I went in not knowing this. Despite that, the bathroom itself is very clean and the rooms are very clean also. The area that this building is in doesn't seem the safest, and that's no fault of the building itself, but the walk from the tube at night was a little uneasy. There are a few shops very close by, one of which is only across the road, which is super convenient. Overall I had a great stay and I would definitely recommend this for travel on a budget.

Stayed for a night to get away. Location is 5 minutes from the tube, staff friendly accommodating and helpful. Roo. Was clean bright and had everything you need for a night away Recommend highly. Ali was amazing
