Victor & Carina Contini are owners of three award-winning restaurants located in the heart of Edinburgh. Contini Espresso is the Contini’s cafe located in the Garden entrance to the Scottish National Gallery. It serves coffees, teas, a selection of fresh sandwiches and homemade cakes.

With their newest venue – Cannonball House, located on the Royal Mile. Cannonball Restaurant & Bar showcases the best of Scottish produce with fantastic views of the Edinburgh skyline and castle. On the ground floor they have a fantastic whisky bar with over 120 Scotch whiskies and on the lower floor you’ll find their exclusive Glengoyne Private Dining room available for parties of 15 to 40 guests.

A gem hidden in plain sight. Insider location for great food and coffee. Excellent breakfasts. Very good service. Part of a wider family group of restaurants in Edinburgh. All worth the visit.

If you are dining in Edinburgh and not eating here, you are in the wrong restaurant. Fine cuisine, well presented with attentive and efficient staff. This restaurant is set with beautiful decor. The local produce food is an absolute delight. The best Italian restaurant this side of Rome.

Very beautiful place. Food comes with good quality and portion, but some tastes not as expected. Some people said this place has the best tiramisu in Edinburgh, but personally disagree with that. I was quite disappointed by the tiramisu (too thick). However, they provided us with special dessert for celebration which tastes amazing. The mocktail comes with a weird flavour that I was expected, but tastes okay. The ravioli is a little too salty. Lasagna tastes good. The decaf expresso for affogato has such a strong taste that I really can't enjoy.

I was recommended this as one of the up-and-coming Italian restaurants in Edinburgh and was told it’s worth a try. However, I wasn’t particularly impressed with my experience here. • Food: It’s Italian fusion, but it didn’t satisfy me. On top of that, I had to wait quite a long time for the dishes to arrive. • Ambience: Friendly and spacious. Perhaps the most unique feature is that the place used to be a bank. • Service: Friendly, but they need to be more careful — I was overcharged on the bill and there was no apology when I pointed it out. • Price: On the higher end of average.

The service omg! We been seating outside and it wasn’t even full , find the staff was challenging and asked for a menu 3 times… The food arrived quite quickly but the portions and prices far too high for the quality of the service. The cocktails all over 10 pounds plus 10% service charge. I won’t come back
