easyHotel City Shoreditch

Awesome stay at easyHotel. Was there for the weekend and enjoyed my stay. Room was small enough but perfect for a short solo stay. Air conditioning worked amazing especially in the London summer. Location was the best part, so easy to get anywhere as the tube is right there and buses to Oxford circus bring you there in 20mins. Staff were so friendly and helpful as well.

Very small room but it didn’t matter, just somewhere to sleep, very clean, smelt nice, everything worked, TV, air con, shower etc. Comfy bed. All staff very friendly. Best of all, the room doors are soft closing so they don’t slam when someone on the same corridor arrives late at night or leaves very early in the morning

The rooms are very compact, but for the price, that's to be expected. A great location, just a few minutes away from Old Street station. All the staff were friendly and accommodating of our requests, especially Fatima on the reception desk. Only negative was that we'd booked the room six months ago and the price had fallen by £50 over the two nights since then, so felt a little out of pocket. Also top tip: might be worth booking via their website rather than a third party since you get more flexibility that way.

A/C was powered by hotel staff and set to a specific thermoset. Room looked like a closet and had no furniture other than the bed to sit/sleep on. For a party of 2, we were only given one towel. If you are traveling solo, I would recommend this hotel. I would advise to pay more $$$ and book a nicer hotel. This hotel/company was NOT it.

**Unacceptable Experience - Stolen Sunglasses and Poor Service** I recently stayed at EasyHotel Shoreditch in London, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. After initially checking into one room, I decided to switch to a different room on the second day of my stay. Shortly after the move, I realized I had left my Cartier sunglasses, worth over £2,000, in the original room. Within two hours of changing rooms, I returned to retrieve my sunglasses, only to find that the room had already been cleaned by the housekeeping team, and my sunglasses were missing. Despite reporting the issue to the hotel staff immediately, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of accountability. The staff informed me that no one except the housekeeper had entered the room, yet my sunglasses were never recovered, and the hotel took no meaningful action to resolve the matter. Instead of addressing the issue internally, the hotel simply called the police and handed me the phone to make a report, which I did. The hotel manager confirmed to me that CCTV footage showed I entered the room with the sunglasses and never left with them, yet no further action has been taken. This entire situation left me feeling insecure during the remainder of my stay, fearing for my safety and the safety of my belongings. Given the poor handling of this situation and the lack of accountability from the staff, I strongly advise potential guests to be extremely cautious with their valuables while staying at this hotel. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I hope others do not have to go through a similar ordeal.
